Complete slab stone and Quartz fabrication, and installations. Owner is 5th generation stone worker, and has been doing stone slab fabrication full time since 1982. We do residential, and light commercial jobs. We specialize in Marble, Limestone, and Soapstone (and all of the other stones as well!). Our clients are all from word of mouth referrals (except for Angie's list). We specialize in custom work. I invite you to call us for your work- large jobs or small ones, they are all important. We also do repair work, either in our shop, or on site if needed. Your broken table, or other stone may be salvaged. Just call and I can tell you if it is possible (I have personally repaired "Humpty Dumpty" at least 1000 times, and most of the time you couldn't tell he fell off of the wall!) Well-seasoned hardwoods like oak, maple, hickory, and ash are the cleanest woods to burn in a fireplace. When properly dried, these woods have low moisture content, allowing them to burn hotter and produce less smoke, which minimizes creosote buildup. You can use normal bricks as cladding for a concrete or clay pizza oven or as a base underneath one. Fire bricks or solid clay bricks are necessary for an outdoor pizza oven’s floor, and you can use clay bricks for the rest of the oven.

How you stop your fireplace from smoking depends on the cause. Sometimes it’s as simple as opening the damper. Other times, you need to battle air pressure. The best course of action is to ensure proper ventilation, whether that means opening a door or a window; avoid building a large fire, which produces more smoke; and use seasoned hardwoods, which produce less smoke than other types of wood. If the issue persists, call a pro ASAP.
