"My yard hasn’t looked this good in years! It has been covered in blackberries and another invasive species for the past 4 1/2 years since my husband’s death which was my main concern, but they had gentle suggestions for the rest. My favorite was the incorporating of my collection of large white quartz and granite river rock from the banks of the Rogue River from our many vacations on the coast and the use of my mother’s (an avid gardener) statues which they put to good use. (Didn’t realize I had so many of the latter!). They unburied some of the plants I had forgotten about, readjusted climbers, saved my roses, daylilies, a rhodie I thought was dead, and a lilac I thought some previous worker had killed, put weed fabric over every space before replanting the few plants I bought, showed me how to replant with new plants. I’ve had neighbors comment on my “new” front yard and friends on my back yard. And I really enjoyed them!"

"Nathan was professional and thorough. Completed everything in the bid on time and for the agreed upon price, which was very fair. Very good communication and follow through. We have a steep vineyard site that required extensive brush clearing and grading, along with a driveway that needed gravel replacement and resurfacing. We plan to use Nathan again for some annual maintenance of our site and can recommend him to others without reservation."

"Heavy D excavation took 20 years of overgrowth on my 30 acres and turned it into a park like setting. Cody created roads, removed brush and trees that were sick or dead, and took care to keep anything healthy. I am creating a campground and he carved out all the spaces, taking care to keep things flowing and aesthetically pleasing. The fire roads were so good, even the fire marshall was impressed. I recommend Heavy D excavation!"

"Daniel was awesome to work with. He came out and provided a solid estimate in a timely fashion. We had an unexpected sprinkler line that was in the middle of our excavation area and he took care of that. He also provided the materials for a retaining wall that we hadn't initially planned for, and he added that to the project scope without issue. I will definitely reach out to Daniel if we have another project like this one."

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

In Eugene, you may need a new land survey if your current survey is over a decade old, survey markers are missing or disturbed after construction, or you notice inconsistencies with city records. Ongoing neighbor disputes, unclear property boundaries, or missing details about drainage and tree preservation are also strong indicators that updated land surveying is necessary for your property.

Helpful?

For a seamless land surveying experience in Eugene, start by confirming your property’s location within the urban growth boundary and reviewing local zoning codes. Gather any existing surveys or easement records, and secure necessary permits early. Plan your project for the drier spring or summer months to minimize weather delays, and coordinate with utility providers to prevent disruptions or accidental line strikes during the survey.

Helpful?

Completing land surveying in Eugene offers immediate benefits like accurate property boundaries for construction and meeting permit requirements. Over time, a current survey helps protect your property value, prevents future boundary disputes, and supports projects such as building accessory dwellings or dividing lots. Up-to-date survey documentation is also valuable for insurance purposes and property tax assessments.

Helpful?

In Eugene, prioritize land surveying if you’re facing permit deadlines, legal disputes, or planning to sell or develop your property. Scheduling during the dry season, typically June through September, helps avoid weather-related delays. If your boundaries are stable and no immediate projects are planned, you may be able to wait. Consider surveyor availability, construction timelines, and your budget when deciding on timing.

Helpful?

Land surveying in Eugene can impact your home’s systems if utility lines, wells, or septic systems are near property lines. Surveys may reveal drainage easements or affect private stormwater management, especially in hillside areas. If your property includes unique features like retaining walls or shared driveways, a survey could identify boundaries or required setbacks, so it’s wise to coordinate with utility and service providers before work begins.
