"I contacted Tim Gentry for price and availability to install siding on my large (dream) shop. I had done most of the work, but the siding was too much for me. We agreed on a fair price and the work started before expected. They showed up on time and ready to work. Got the job done in half the time others quoted and installed correctly. The best jobs aren't necessarily the cheapest but are the best. These guys work great together... Dad taught them right. I Would recommend them to anybody. Mike in Eugene, Or"

"We hired this company to replace the front siding of our house. Let me tell you they are amazing to work with. Not only is the communication fantastic, the whole crew was pleasant and professional. The work they did was outstanding. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. If I ever need anything done again I will be contacting them first."

"Paul Derosia of Triple D is a high integrity individual. He is polite, soft spoken, and knowledgeable. He showed up on time, every day, and took painstaking care to do the siding and painting job as if it was his own home. The siding installation, the window trim, the caulking, and the painting were all done professionally. Paul doesn't just bid a job, and then hand off the work. On any given day, Paul could be seen on a ladder or the scaffolding, and even with a paint brush in hand. I don't typically provide public reviews of contractors, but, I was impressed with Paul, his skills, integrity, and work ethic. I am extremely pleased with how our home looks, and I have the confidence that I won't have to deal with the exterior of our home for a long time to come! Gary Mallory Gresham, Oregon"

Siding questions, answered by experts

The average cost to replace siding is $10,500, but you should expect to pay an average of $12,000 to install new siding over stucco. The additional cost goes toward assessing the old stucco for damage, any necessary repairs before the new siding goes up, and the materials and labor required to install furring strips over the stucco to attach the new material. Even with this additional cost, installing siding over stucco is often more affordable than removing the stucco and starting over.

Yes, new stucco siding can increase your home's value and curb appeal, similar to other new siding materials. Homeowners can expect an average return on investment (ROI) of around 70%. For an average stucco installation costing $5,700, this can translate to a value increase of nearly $4,000. The value can be further enhanced by choosing high-end textures or simulating more expensive materials like brick. Stucco is also a durable, fire-resistant, and versatile material that can last 50 years or more, making it an attractive feature for potential buyers, especially in hotter climates where its insulating properties are beneficial.

While insulated vinyl siding has one of the highest R-values out there, there are a few alternatives worth considering. When paired with a layer of insulation, manufactured stone veneer has an R-value of 4.5. Composite siding also provides good insulation with an R-value of 2 to 4.

Fiber cement siding is the best siding to install over stucco because it offers many of the same benefits for homes where stucco is common, including fire resistance, insect resistance, and good insulation. Fiber cement siding is also rigid, so it won’t warp over time like vinyl siding might if installed over furring strips.

Pressure washing shou sugi ban siding is generally not a good idea. The charring process used in creating shou sugi ban siding involves burning the wood's surface to achieve its unique appearance and enhanced durability. The charred surface is delicate, and pressure washing can easily damage it. Instead of pressure washing, you can clean it with a soft brush or broom to remove loose debris, followed by a mixture of mild soap and water applied with a soft cloth or sponge.
