"Very detailed work, excellent attention to detail, very thorough steps taken to give me the best paint job I have ever had. I have flipped houses and never got a result as fine as this paint job. I highly recommend George and company to paint a house. It will take more time because he does it right."

Small jobs welcome

"Like and Mike cleaned all the moss off our roof, put moss killer on the clean roof, cleaned all the gutters and pressure washed the house in prep for painting the house. They were extremely efficient, not wasting any time, and made the roof look new. They showed up a few minutes ahead of schedule and went straight to work."

"The crew that came to my house were professional and courteous. The job was completed ahead of schedule. A tree had fallen on my house. There was damage inside and outside. I am very happy with the work that was done!! They did a great job of matching existing shingles, also did a great job of blending paint to match the existing paint. I am very pleased with all of the work that was done!! I will be sharing my experience with all of my friends and family with high recommendation to use Valley Brothers Construction."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Applying a sealer or topcoat after staining wood is highly recommended, though not always strictly required. A sealer protects the wood from moisture, UV rays, and weather-related issues, which is especially important for outdoor surfaces like decks and fences. It also enhances the stain's durability, prevents fading over time, and gives the wood a cleaner, more professional-looking finish. For some indoor applications, a sealer may not be necessary, depending on the type of stain used and the level of protection needed. It's always best to check the stain manufacturer's recommendations and consider the wood's intended use and exposure when deciding whether to apply a sealer.

You’ll want to avoid excessively hot or humid conditions, so it’s best to apply your stain in late spring to early fall. It's also important to watch the weather forecast and aim for days when there isn’t rain expected for at least three days. For new decks, allow the wood to season beforehand for at least four to eight weeks.

Hiring a contractor or professional deck refinisher is the best way to ensure your deck is properly stained. They have the expertise, tools, and supplies to do the job quickly and efficiently. However, staining a deck is a manageable task for most homeowners, and doing the job yourself can save money. Just keep in mind that DIY staining is a long process requiring physical strain, so it may not be the best option for everyone.

Ensure gutters and downspouts remain clean, monitor wall integrity, and promptly address any arising imperfections or peels concept permanence rooted.

Rags used with oil-based stains are highly flammable and can spontaneously combust in the right conditions. To reduce the fire risk, throw them in a metal container after use and add rocks on top to secure them. Add an inch of water and seal the container. Take the rags in the container to a hazardous waste factory as soon as possible.
