"Demren did a fantastic job repairing & replacing a glass pane in our antique cabinet. This is a cabinet which is extremely to our family and three of the individuals that contacted me about the job turned it down because they were not sure they could accomplish this correctly. Demren came to the house right away to look at the job, Accomplished the repair in a short amount of time and did an excellent job. We took his card and will be using him again in the future for building and fixing other needs around our home."

Small jobs welcome

"We hired Matt to put in a new paver patio with a trex landing and staircase in our backyard. He did a great job; our space is now usable and looks beautiful. We have gotten so many compliments! He gave us great suggestions when we werenâ t sure exactly what we wanted. He was on time, professional, clean, and just a really nice guy! We highly recommend him."

"Ian was fabulous to work with! He replaced the lattice skirting around the front and back of my second home in Eagle Crest. He maintained communications throughout the project and reached out to me regularly to discuss issues that surfaced during the project. Ian is also very professional in his documentation including providing pictures of the project. I highly recommend Ian and will request his services again."

"We had several estimates for the outside painting of our elderly motherâ s home. Matthew impressed us with his professional assessment of the job before preparing a very detailed quote. He even provided several paint types which had different price results. We chose this company based on the expertise in presenting their bid, which was far more complex than the competition and the resulting job came within $50 of the bid. The crew were punctual, tidy and very considerate of our momâ s concerns and sleeping habits! We would definitely recommend Earth and Sky, and we will be using them for any future need on Momâ s home!"

Grill Assembly questions, answered by experts

Yes, professional services typically include venting, gas line installation, and necessary permits.

Built-in gas grills typically have a life span of 10 to 15 years. However, their longevity can vary based on quality, usage frequency, climate conditions, and maintenance routines. High-quality models made from durable materials tend to last longer. Additionally, regular cleaning, covering the grill when not in use, and conducting routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning burners and replacing worn-out parts can extend its life. A well-maintained built-in gas grill can provide excellent performance and memorable cooking experiences for a decade or more, making it a worthwhile investment for outdoor cooking enthusiasts.

No. Placing a built-in grill against the house is discouraged due to safety concerns. Building codes and regulations often require a minimum distance (typically 10 feet or more) between a gas grill and any combustible structure, including a house. Placing a grill too close poses a fire hazard and risks damage to the siding or structure, potentially leading to carbon monoxide buildup. It's essential to consult local building codes, follow manufacturer guidelines, and prioritize safety by positioning the grill at a safe distance, ideally in a well-ventilated outdoor kitchen or designated grill area.

A few potential problems can cause your gas grill to stop working:

  • Burners aren’t properly aligned.

  • Food debris is clogging the burners.

  • Hose connections may be blocked.

  • Burners may not be getting enough gas.

  • Gas valve is not working properly.

If you’re experiencing any of those problems with your gas grill, hire a local grill repair professional to inspect your grill for issues and implement a plan to resolve them.

While it’s possible to repair minor grill issues like replacing a burner, more serious issues are clear indicators that you need to replace the entire unit. A few signs that your gas grill may be at the end of its life span and it’s time to consider replacing it include:

  • Rusty or cracked firebox

  • Weak, yellow, or uneven flames

  • Flaking, cracking grates

  • Leaking or cracked propane hoses

  • Failing igniter

  • Heavy buildup of grease
