"Matt installed ceramic tile for backsplash in my kitchen and 2 bathrooms. He arrived on time, worked without interruption until it was done, and has a great attitude. Fantastic job! Result exceeds my expectations. He also fit some emergency fence repair."

"We hired Demren Harnden LLC to install new trim and cabinets for our new homes in Central Oregon. Demren's attention to detail and ensuring the job is done correctly is his main priority. Above that though, his business organization is top-notch. He has always submitted his billings on time as well as any business documents needed, such as license and insurance information. Not to mention, he is a delight to work with. I highly recommend Demren Harnden LLC."

"Ian did an excellent job installing our custom Murphy bed built-in, in our guest room. He built us a super rad, custom Tambour cabinet and advised on design and materials. His craftsmanship was second to none, he was highly professional and had excellent communication the whole way. We wouldn’t recommend Ian more and look forward to working with him again!"

"Dan Steen provided a quick response to a thermostat/attic vent and roof issue. Local HVAC and roofing companies in the Bend area wouldn’t commit to such a small fix (less than $1000) given their busy summer months. Dan responded over the weekend and was there to fix it early Monday morning. He was polite, professional, quick and efficient. I’ll call Cascade Peak Home Services first the next time I need a handyman in the Bend area. Highly recommend!"

Grab Bar Installation questions, answered by experts

Professionals use secure clips, weatherproof materials, and proper electrical connections to ensure safety and durability.

Many security doors come with clear and easy-to-follow installation instructions. Some even include predrilled holes and mounting hardware, making the process smoother. If you're a handy DIY enthusiast, you might find it enjoyable to take on installing a security door.

However, if you're uncomfortable with DIY tasks or want to ensure a flawless installation, you can always seek the help of a local door installer. They have the expertise and experience to get the job done efficiently and correctly.

You can shield the area with a well cover. Start by selecting a sturdy, tamper-resistant, crystal-clear polycarbonate option. It will allow light into your basement while providing valuable protection. Ensure the cover is firmly anchored to the window well, creating a formidable barrier against unauthorized access. Regular maintenance checks are essential to keep these covers in optimal condition.

There are a number of ways to secure windows. You can add motion detectors or window sensors to detect movement and impact or change the window locks to make them stronger. Some of the ways you can secure windows are much like how you secure a home: closing the curtains at night and setting up security cameras outside so you can monitor your property even in your absence.

Yes, burglar bars are highly effective at securing windows and deterring burglars. Intruders typically seek easy targets they can enter and exit quickly, so the presence of bars often convinces them to move on. If an attempt is made, the bars make the break-in more difficult, time-consuming, and likely to attract attention. Window security bars can withstand considerable force and are a relatively affordable, low-tech security solution that is easy for most homeowners to install. In addition to security, window bars also offer the benefit of protecting children and pets from accidental falls.
