"They built a beautiful 4 seasons room for us which included demo of existing deck and metal cover. They took care of everything from foundation with drainage, roof, walls, windows, doors, siding and all. Excellent suggestions, worked well through things and gave us a beautiful elegant new room at a reasonable price."

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an outstanding experience working with Noah from Aquarius Landscaping Design on our home in Jacksonville. He installed and repaired our sprinkler system and completely transformed the landscaping around our property, and the results are truly incredible. Noah’s attention to detail is unlike anything we’ve seen before. Every element of the project was thoughtfully planned and executed, and he used high-quality materials throughout. The installation was clean, professional, and clearly done with pride in the work. What impressed us most was the level of craftsmanship and care he put into the entire project—from the irrigation system to the overall landscape design. Our property looks better than we ever imagined. We are extremely thankful for Noah’s work and would highly recommend Aquarius Landscaping Design to anyone looking for beautiful, high-quality landscaping done right."

Masonry questions, answered by experts

Brick can increase the value of your home depending on the type of masonry materials used. Homes generally have a higher resale value when they have brick siding, and brick is also easier to maintain (and lasts longer) than other types of siding, which can motivate buyers to make an offer.

Just keep in mind, however, that although brick can up the asking price when you sell your house, the cost to brick a house is also more expensive than other typical siding costs—so you’ll invest more in the project.

Costs range from $3,500 to $15,000, depending on material, labor, and design complexity.

A fireplace is, by definition, an enclosed space where you burn wood or other fuel for the purpose of generating light and heat. A firepit burns wood and is much less expensive to build, but they aren’t technically a fireplace as it isn’t enclosed. An outdoor oven—commonly outdoor brick pizza ovens—often uses wood as fuel, but its primary purpose is to cook food, and you’d rarely just burn wood inside them for warmth or aesthetic reasons.

The white stains you see on your bricks are likely efflorescence, which is salt and lime buildup. To remove efflorescence stains, simply brush them away with a stiff brush. For larger, more stubborn stains, scrub the stains with a water-detergent solution.

You should generally drill into the mortar joints when installing shutters on brick. Mortar is softer, which makes drilling easier and puts less strain on your tools. It also lowers the risk of cracking a brick—something that’s a lot harder to fix. Mortar holds fasteners well enough for standard shutters, and if you ever need to patch the holes later, it’s a much simpler job than dealing with damaged brick. Just keep in mind that if your mortar joints are too thin or the hardware calls for brick anchoring, you'll need to check the manufacturer’s recommendations and adjust accordingly.
