"Appointment was set as "first thing" in the morning. I was called to let me know they would be there in about 30 minutes. An hour, or so later they arrived. I had purchased an Angie's List deal to have an outside faucet replaced. The only stipulation in the deal was that the piping had to be accessible. All of the piping is located under a sink directly behind the faucet. Upon arrival, the plumber determined that there would need to be piping changes made to replace the faucet that was leaking, which would be extra cost. He did say he could repair the vacuum breaker that was leaking without extra cost, but not the whole faucet. I went ahead and just had him fix the vacuum breaker since I did not want to pay more than was covered by the deal."

"From start to finish Groundworks has been a great company to work with!! Jose and Jeremiah just finished up the Poly Renewal and Darlin, Tyler and Carlos did an excellent job installing the AquaStop Gutter system. All the employees were informed, professional and easy to talk with including Natasha the scheduler. I highly recommend this company."

"The repair was done within three days and the technician was great. However, a portion of my sidewalk had to be removed. The technician said that someone would be back to haul off the concrete, as he was not in a truck. I called the next week and was told that they had 28 emergencies, which I understood, as ours had been an emergency, also. Nearly four months late, and having called and emailed several times, my husband finally got a trailer and hauled it off himself so that we could get the sidewalk repaired. He is nearly 70 and had been in the hospital, so I was not wanting him to do that at this time. In addition, we had them come to our business to repair a toilet and urinal. They came by, fixed the toilet, said that they needed a part for the urinal, and then never returned, even after phone calls."

"First I was told it would be $90 when I called for the appt... After the work was done I find out it's $150 when they have to get on the roof.  While they were running the snake thru the pipes from the roof, my whole bathroom wall was shaking inside and now I have a water leak in my bath tub that wasn't there before.  Stated I have a break in my sewer line, but could not get a price for repair or replacement... everytime he opened his mouth, the price was different.

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

A saturated leach field can result from various underlying issues, so it's best to call a professional septic company to diagnose and treat the problem. Depending on the cause of the saturation, potential fixes include pumping out a full septic tank, adding more bacteria to the tank, or regrading the soil to fix low spots. It may also be necessary to reroute rainwater and runoff away from the leach field using gutters, downspouts, and extenders. Once the primary issue is resolved, planting specific types of vegetation over the area can help absorb excess water. In more severe cases, you might need to install a larger septic tank or replace the leach field entirely.

Septic tanks can clog if they aren’t pumped every few years since solid waste accumulates inside of them. Your tank might also clog if you have a habit of flushing anything other than human waste or toilet paper. Items like diapers, baby wipes, paper towels, cat litter, and personal hygiene products should never go down your pipes.

Main sewer lines can clog for several reasons. For example, if you regularly dump oil or grease down your drain, it could eventually block your line. Sometimes, tree roots can penetrate and grow inside old sewer pipes, creating a major blockage. Flushing bulky items (like paper towels, diapers, or baby wipes) can also clog your plumbing system.

It’s possible to snake minor drain clogs yourself, provided they sit within a foot or two of the drain itself, but it’s usually best to hire a professional plumber regardless. Even experienced DIYers have a high chance of accidentally pushing the clog further into the drain using a drain snake or another tool, so hiring a plumber is the ideal course of action. A professional plumber can use camera equipment to locate and identify the clog, and remove the entire blockage to fix your issue permanently.

It’ll take 20 to 30 minutes to unclog a sewer line using a drain snake or drain cleaner. If you hire a professional, you should expect them to be on-site for three hours or less. In addition to clearing the clog, they’ll do other routine inspections, which adds to the overall time (and cost) required.
