"These ladies have been amazing!! My doctor told me I could no longer clean my house so needless to say, the house was a mess. They came in and did a deep cleaning and are now cleaning once a month. They go above and beyond to help me out. They do anything I ask and make organization recommendations. They are great with my animals, trustworthy, and reasonably priced. My disability has been challenging and I am so grateful to have such great people to help me out. I highly recommended their cleaning services."

House Cleaning questions, answered by experts

If you’re hiring a house cleaner, you should have them clean the house bi-weekly. This is the most common frequency for people who hire house cleaners, but what’s best for you will depend on how big your house is, how many people live in it, and if you have any pets. If you can maintain tidiness and deal with any immediate spills or splashes on your own, then a professional clean bi-weekly or even monthly should do the trick.

Without treatment, pet dander can linger in the air for months—even if the pet is no longer in the home. These microscopic allergens often stick to furniture, bedding, and carpeting, causing long-term allergic reactions. Additionally, pet dander can enter a house on a person’s clothing or shoes—so, even if you don’t have pets at home, you could still have pet dander.

If you’re seeing many cobwebs inside your home, chances are you have a spider problem. Cobwebs are either abandoned spiderwebs or webs made by a member of the house spider species, but if you clean them with vacuuming or dusting, for example, and they reappear, then it points to an issue with spiders. Try using a natural DIY spider repellent or calling in a pest control service to help keep spiders out of your home.

Although you can use bleach to clean many surfaces in your home, using it on walls can permanently damage the color or even remove paint and expose the paint or bare walls underneath. You’re better off using a light hand, some water, and a small amount of liquid dish soap or vinegar to clean walls with flat paint. If you have mold growth on your walls with flat paint, then a professional cleaner may use bleach, but you’ll almost certainly have to repaint your walls afterward.

Apartment kitchens and bathrooms take the longest to clean. Bacteria and other dirt build up the fastest in these wet areas. They need more attention to ensure they remain clean and sanitary. If your apartment has two bathrooms, expect to pay a premium for professional cleaning.
