Squirrels hate not having access to secure shelter or food sources. Your best line of defense is to make your property less attractive by removing access to these things. There are chemical squirrel repellents, but these have mixed success. However, you need to reapply repellents regularly, which aren’t scientifically proven effective.

Research suggests several different ranges, but many suggest starting at 120 degrees Fahrenheit and maintaining that heat for at least two hours. Steam cleaning is an exception because steam comes so hot it can quickly kill bed bugs and their eggs, making it a good option for fast extermination.

Since fleas are so tiny, the best way to find them is with a very thorough search. Focus on two specific areas. First, look where your pets spend lots of time sleeping or playing, which is where fleas are likely to linger. Second, look at ground-level fabrics like carpet, furniture upholstery and similar spots where it’s easy for fleas to hide. While you’re probably worried about fleas inside your home, it’s a good idea to check outdoors around patios or outdoor chairs to see if fleas are congregating in specific spots.
