"We’ve been working with Will Allen and the team at Precision Flooring for over 20 years, and they’ve been nothing short of outstanding. One of the things we appreciate most is the consistency—you always work with the same trusted people on every project, not someone new each time. For us, that’s been Jason on hardwood floors and Eddie on tile and carpet. Over the years, we’ve partnered with Precision Flooring on countless projects. They’ve handled commercial work at our business, including refinishing vinyl and installing carpet. At our old house, they installed new carpet and tile. When we moved into a new home, we weren’t thrilled with some of the builder’s flooring choices, so we brought in Precision to refinish the wood floors. Later, when we finished out our upstairs, they installed both wood floors and carpet, and they also updated the kitchen tile. Precision Flooring has been our go-to for every flooring project, big or small, and we couldn’t be happier with their work."

"Excellent.  They returned the rooms to their condition prior to installation.  The cleaned up so well after themselves that we wondered whether they had actually been in our house, then we looked at the new carpet.  Excellent family business, multi generational, courteous, helpful, good problem solvers.  Would definitely  use them again, and would recommend them without reservation.
They were not the least expensive, but were the best."

"After a no show first day, the project manager called n set up to come herself the next day. Was told she would b here between 10:30 n 11 am she contacted me several times that she was running late. Finally arrived lil before 1. Started out wonderful. She deep cleaned my bathroom she did my office n spare room very well. My bedroom n bath she also did a very good job. My windows were in the request to b cleaned she did a great job cleaning both blinds n windows in my room. However in kitchen n living room she don't bother with the blinds at that point, but she did do the windows. (They were pretty terrible before she started them) but, now look better. She didn't dust at all in my living room or wipe all my kitchen counters n bar down. I'm happy she gave me a discount but over all I Can't say Wow... I can say she did descent job over all better in some places worse in others. I appreciate the job she did n I paid her Over what my original quote n discount would have been. I consider our business concluded now. I thanked her n told her I would leave a better review than my first. I went from a 1 star for no show no call to a 4 rating cuz she did work hard just wasn't everything I was hoping for. Thank u"

"We had just bought a house and had tried cleaning the existing carpet. There was some left over smell of smoke and per urine on carpet that just wouldn’t go away. We received a couple of estimates for carpet replacement. You just couldn’t beat the pricing that Empire had. The deal they gave us was ridiculous. My wife and i love the new carpet."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, carpeted stairs are generally considered safer than stairs with hard surfaces like wood, vinyl, or tile. Carpet provides more traction, which helps reduce the chances of slips and falls, and its cushioning can lessen the severity of an injury if a fall does occur. Hard surfaces often lack the friction needed for a secure tread and can be quite slippery.

However, it's worth noting that some carpets can also be slick, particularly if they are brand new, dirty, or made from certain materials. If any stair surface feels too slippery, traction treads can be added to most materials to increase grip and improve safety.

Carpet tiles come with a preexisting adhesive backing, which means installing them is as simple as peeling off the paper and sticking them down where they need to go. In other words, no. You won’t need to purchase any separate glue to get your carpet squares situated. It’s already built into the carpet tile itself.

When deciding whether to repair or replace your carpet, consider its age, the extent of the damage, and its location. It's often best to replace the entire carpet if the damage is extensive, such as large sections needing replacement, or if it's caused by water, which can lead to mold problems. Similarly, if your carpet is nearing a decade old, replacement is likely the more logical choice. On the other hand, consider repairing your carpet if the damage is localized to one spot, like minor rips or snags, the carpet is still relatively new, or the damage is in a low-traffic area of your home.

You can expect your carpet protection to last about six months to two years. It will last longer in low-traffic areas (compared to busy areas, where your carpet experiences more wear and tear). Once the protector wears off, you’ll need to call your carpet contractor to reapply the stain protection treatment and revive your carpet

A stair runner can be cheaper than a carpet and will definitely save money over the cost of refinishing hardwood floors and stairs. The price depends, however, on the fabric and quality of the runner. A wool stair runner can be more expensive than an inexpensive polyester carpet and vice versa. Keep an eye on your budget, knowing that the higher quality the carpet and the carpet pad, the better the carpet will wear over time.
