"Impressive how polite and quick to respond provider was to make sure I was reimbursed for AL error. IF I lived in provider's area, THAT would make me call them for service - customer service is so important and I was treated like valued customer.

"The services performed resulted in a very beautiful and functional game room area.  My wife and I are very pleased with the work.  Roger, his primary employee, Dave, and all of the sub contractors he used were outstanding.  For example, the texture blends and paint matches were exceptional.  The travertine floor is perfect.  Cabinets were of of good quality and as ordered.  The carpet was modified and replaced for a nice cost savings.  Our new room appears that it was always configured in its current state. Roger was very accessible, genuinely attempted to address all of our requests and was very easy to work with."

Emergency services offered

"We had some drywall repair work that needed to be done before we could paint so I thought I'd take advantage of their "coupon" to see if their service was worthy of further work.  Needless to say, it wasn't.  I was impressed that once I called, they were able to get me scheduled in very quickly.  The 2 man crew showed up on time and I showed them the work I needed done.  This is where the service failed.  The lead contractor's cell phone rang constantly.  Apparently there was some confusion from the home office about the services I had purchased and when I provided the details, the lead contractor explained that since I had purchased 8 man hours and they sent out a team of two, that they wouldn't be working all day.  Fine, completely understand.  I guess the big rub came when they showed up without any of what I would consider basic consumables for a project like this.  I would have been more than happy to purchase these materials before hand had they let me know this.  Or I would have paid them for what they used provided they didn't try to game the system by seriously over charging for such basic materials.  Needless to say, there was a trip for "supplies" involved and as I live quite a ways outside of Tulsa city limits, there was considerable delay.  The lead contractor did tell me they would work extra to make up for this delay.  Which they did, somewhat.  The biggest thing that blew this wide open for me was the fact that I had to pay for gas for their truck.  And they were perfectly at ease over this.  So despite the fact that the work was acceptable, I will find another company to come in and finish up and then paint. "

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

Sandblasting is a common method for removing paint. It works great if the underlying material is tough. This is because you can then use more abrasive sandblast materials, making the paint removal process much faster and less expensive. If you plan on removing many layers of paint on smooth surfaces, you’ll need to be more careful about which materials you choose to use to sandblast.

The best way to sand a deck is by cleaning it, sanding the boards and stairs with 60- or 80-grit sandpaper, and sanding the railings and posts with 80-grit sandpaper. You should sand in the direction of the wood grain to avoid damaging the timber. When sanding your deck, use medium pressure and aim for an even sand. Pressing too hard with a sander can damage decks, as most are softwoods.

DIY is possible, but professional services ensure even removal, safety compliance, and proper cleanup.

Sand is a common sublayer for hardscape features like driveways, paver patios, and more. Most projects that involve sand require a 1-inch layer to promote evenness, drainage, and weight distribution. For further drainage, most projects have a 6-inch minimum layer of gravel beneath the sand.

Sanding and pressure washing serve different purposes in deck maintenance, so one is not necessarily better than the other. Pressure washing is ideal for annual cleaning to remove dirt, grime, mold, and mildew. Sanding is a deeper restoration method used to smooth rough surfaces, remove an old finish, and prepare the wood for a new coat of stain or paint. The ideal process for refinishing a deck is to first clean it (with a power washer), then sand it, and finally apply the new stain or finish. While cleaning should be done annually, sanding and staining are typically needed only every one to three years.
