"Rafael & his crew were beyond a 5 star. From first meeting, to receiving the estimate, to having the work done. They were very reasonable, efficient, & hard working. They went above and beyond. Not only did they do what was estimated they made the yard look better than before they started. Rafael s & team of workers were very professional. We received several estimates & Rafael s was more reasonable by quite a bit. I would & will recommend him to anyone in need of tree service."

"This was a tree Removal project for several high safety hazard trees next to my home and over utility wires. the job was completed in one very long day, NO damage was done to home or wires, great job and the experience / skill / quality of workers was outstanding. the crew was very cooperative in where to stack the debris piles and cut the tree trunks into firewood chucks and piled where I wanted them, all at my request and included in the cost."

"Give him a call! I Told him what I needed gone, we scheduled a service date and got it done. He was knowledgeable and very professional! Another blessing he cleaned up after the yard work was done. I know it should be included with the service. It’s just mostly overlooked!"

"Had schedule to have them trim my tree and ended up hiring them to also remove some bushes that a previous company failed to do what they had promised. It was a hard job in the heat. I did pay a little more then I had hoped however; they worked with me in delayed billing so they could get started with the project and I didn't feel pressured with finances. Excellent job done and even though it cost more then I hoped for - it was worth it"

"Trenton showed up in the morning to remove limbs from two trees. Multiple limbs had fallen during the last ice storm, but we're caught in the trees. Trenton trimmed every limb that extended over my home and removed the fallen limbs. He identified some decaying limbs and offered to remove those as well. He was clean, professional and went above and beyond what we had initially discussed. He collected all limbs and left the yard without debris. I will recommend him to the rest of the neighborhood."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Generally, homeowners do not need permission to cut down a tree on their own private property, but there are several exceptions where a permit may be required. You might need a permit if the tree is particularly large, old, or a protected species, such as a heritage tree. Trees located near public property or power lines can also be subject to special rules. Additionally, many local governments and homeowners associations (HOAs) have regulations controlling which trees can be removed to manage an area's appearance or prevent the spread of invasive species. To avoid hefty fines, it is crucial to check with your local government and HOA to determine if a permit is needed before you begin.

Whether you grind or dig up and remove your tree stump depends on your landscaping goals. Using a stump grinder leaves the root system in place for it to decompose over time, whereas digging up the tree stump removes the roots and the stump. Overall, stump grinding is a far simpler process since you won’t need to deal with the roots. Stump removal will make your yard look like a demolition site, but you’ll have an easier time replanting in the same place as your former tree.

You can use a felling ax to chop down a tree by following the same prep and steps as a chainsaw, but be prepared to use some muscle. For trees bigger than 7 inches in diameter, it can take some time and serious strength to cut down a tree using just an ax.

Some fast-acting products can rot a tree stump in four to six weeks. Keep in mind, these products contain harsh chemicals that may prevent regrowth in the area. Other products, like fertilizer that contains lots of nitrogen, can enhance the process and rot a stump in about a year. (This is compared to the ten years it can take naturally for a stump to rot.)

Unless it’s dead or dangerous, think twice about cutting down a tree in your yard. They’re good for health, well-being, wildlife, and the environment. Plus, local authorities often have regulations prohibiting the removal of trees, especially protected species or individual trees with historical value.
