We only clean with the best truck mount cleaning system equipment geared towards cleaning tile/grout only. Equipment vs. by hand is no comparison. Extraction is key! A concrete patio lasts an average of 30 years, but the length of life you’ll get from yours depends largely on the climate. In harsh conditions, including excessive rainfall and snowfall, a concrete patio may only last for 15 years. In a moderate climate and with non-expansive, supportive soil below, a concrete patio could last for up to 50 years.

A simple square paver patio is the easiest long-lasting patio to install. With this basic shape, you won’t have to worry about curvatures in the design or having to cut pavers to fit. You could also opt for the gravel patio, but as noted, it can be messy and you will have to refill the gravel regularly as shoes and pet paws drag it out of its intended area.

After you install your concrete steps, and even as they age, applying a coat of paint or concrete sealer to them every one to two years is a great way to keep them looking fresh and new. We also recommend doing light concrete step repair if you notice chipping or crumbling. You can dress up your steps with planters, decorative railings, and other decor to breathe new life into your stoop as well.

If you're only working with a gravel pad, and there is no concrete foundation, you might be able to upgrade to a concrete slab, but you’d have to speak with a professional concrete expert to confirm and get pricing. If you have a concrete foundation or cement block walls around the area where you want to build flooring, you might be able to pour a new concrete floor over the existing one to forgo repairs. Again, speak with a concrete expert or foundation company to see if this is an option.

A concrete porch costs about $2 to $10 per square foot upfront, while a wood porch costs about $4 to $30 per square foot, making concrete less expensive upfront. However, wood requires much more maintenance than concrete, so you’ll need to consider the costs of staining, painting, and resealing the porch every few years, which makes wood more expensive in the long run.
