"Erin was very prompt and easy to work with when scheduling my appointment for an estimate. I thought I had poison ivy and/or poison oak on my back fence so I was looking to hire someone to remove it. However, when Erin arrived at my house, she looked at my fence and told me that I did NOT have poison ivy nor poison oak, so the removal was unnecessary. I appreciate her honesty, even though it meant I would not need her services. I will keep her in mind for future projects!!"

"The project had a number of obstacles (namely problems with Home Depot and uneven terrain) but Nick put more effort into working through those obstacles than any other contractor probably would have. One in Stroud OK flat out ignored me for three months before I went to Nick, and he was ready to start within a week. In less than two weeks, I had some trees and bushes trimmed/cleared, and a cedar wood fence with metal poles built on top of a subterranean wall to block dogs from digging under. Nick generally has a very respectful attitude (I donâ t think Iâ ve been called "Sir" so many times in twenty years of military service) and his crew are decent folk too."

"We have used Brent and his company on multiple job sites both residential, commercial, manufactured homes, and personal jobs. Customer service was great, jobs all completed in time frame quotes and cleaned better than he and his team found it. Highly recommended for any work you need done."

Aquarium Services questions, answered by experts

No. You should dispose of all oil-based finishing products through a local hazardous waste program. Not only can oil-based finishes be hazardous for the environment if disposed of in the sink, but they can cause clogs in your pipes and stop up your drains. Most municipal garbage or waste disposal companies have a specific location or pick-up schedule for hazardous materials, so that’s your best bet to get rid of excess finishing products.

Using less toilet paper is the easiest way to prevent future clogs. Also, avoid flushing sanitary products, thick paper towels, or hair down the toilet. If you’ve been using a brick in the tank to reduce the water used to flush the toilet, take it out immediately. Bricks will eventually fall apart and clog your toilet drain. Keeping your toilet lid closed also helps avoid future clogs.

Yes—septic tank systems are superior to cesspools in every conceivable way. If you’re not able to connect your home to a greater sewage network, a septic tank system and a drain field are great for responsibly disposing of waste. It’s also cheaper to pump a septic tank, easier to find a local septic tank professional than those who work with cesspools, and better for the environment.

You could be smelling sewer gas in your kitchen because of a dry P-trap, clogged vent pipe, or leaking plumbing seals. If you smell a rotten egg odor, check your sink’s P-trap and plumbing connections first. A clogged or damaged vent pipe can trap sewer gas and push it back into your kitchen through the plumbing pipes. Loose or deteriorated seals around drainpipes can also allow sewer gas to leak out. If you can’t find the source, call a local plumber for expert help.

A septic tank lid is often 1 foot underground, but it could be just 4 inches from the surface or 4 feet deep. For septic tank lids that are closer to the surface, you’ll have an easier time locating them just by looking for signs in the yard or using a metal probe. But for septic tanks that are buried deeper underground, you’ll need to hire a pro with specialized equipment to track down the lid without risk of damaging utility lines.
