"The price was way too high—he spent more time away from my home to get parts than he did working (45 minutes—away 15-20 minutes replacing parts) I asked the gentleman if the email would provide an itemized statement—he stated it should. No itemized statement—emailed twice requesting and phoned the next day asking. The lady said we don’t do those we charge by the book! What is the book?? She stated service manager was at lunch but he or she would give me a call back been 4 days since service—still no paperwork or phone call. I then went to parts store and found out the most expensive parts would have been approximately $60; these were not for my cheaper faucet. I just wanted to see the itemized charges—simple request; do they not keep records??! Trevor, who came out on March 14th was very professional and gave me estimates before he did anything—I really appreciated this. Unlike Zachbe price just seemed high for what he did."

If your pipes are frozen, water won’t be able to flow—meaning your toilet won’t be able to flush properly. In basic terms, toilet bowls flush when water rushes in from the toilet tank. If the pipes are frozen, your tank won’t be able to refill after a flush. You can keep adding more water to the tank if you have access to running water with frozen pipes, but it’s certainly not a long-term solution. Your best bet is to figure out how to unfreeze your pipes and get your toilet back to tip top condition.

It’s safe to carry out minor repairs on small cracks and leaks on copper pipes by yourself. Since copper melts under heat, you can solder a copper pipe to repair what’s broken. Note that it’s better to solder two couplings and a copper pipe together to fix minor leaks. This gives you some additional material for a stronger repair.

To bleed air from the pipes, start by turning off the main water supply. Then, starting with the faucet that’s closest to the water valve, open each of your faucets halfway, making sure to open both hot and cold options if they’re separate. This allows the air to escape the pipes. Once all faucets are open, turn your water supply back on and let the water run for 10 to 15 minutes until the faucets stop sputtering.
