"We are delighted with Mike Freeman and his crew. He is professional, knowledgeable and dependable. Mike helped us put our thoughts into action, created a large and beautiful garden and also planted four trees. His crew also installed a small fence and gate on the side of the house and the cleanup was 100%. Highly recommend."

"Order arrived quickly - all in good condition. Have been using them for quite a while now. I love that the pieces lock together magnetically - so no sliding around. You can choose your colors: top and bottom. You do the measuring - they have instructions on how to do that - and it is very simple. Their order department was very accommodating when I called. Would definitely order from them."

"I am very happy with the exterior painting job completed by Reese. Communication was well above average and price was reasonable. Always arrived when scheduled and gave attention to detail. Very personable and easy to work with, even made a return trip to install new light trim I purchased. I would definitely use Reese again and have no hesitancy in recommending them."

"The flowerbed is beautiful and well worth the price. Everyone worked very hard and seemed knowledgable. He did not conduct himself in a professional manner. One, it took 16 days not the one day he stated. Second he broke my gazing ball and didn't tell me. (just threw it away and I found a piece of glass hidden in the shrubs) Third he left HUGE dirt clods all around the bed. I am disabled, 82 and blind and could not go around the flowerbed for fear of falling. I had to pay someone else to haul them away, which cost me an additional $75."

"

worker was punctual and after several code checks of electrical service went to work and installed both lights in a timely manner

my only regret is the cost seemed to be about twice what I thought it should be, would not use again

Lighting questions, answered by experts

The easiest and best way to power your outdoor lights is with the use of outdoor outlets. Most building codes now require exterior outlets in homes, so you likely already have outdoor outlets available to plug into. However, you can have these outlets installed if your space doesn’t currently include them.

Before investing in motion sensor lights, there are a couple of disadvantages worth noting. For starters, they’re not as reliable as other forms of lighting. Motion sensor lights can be accidentally triggered by pets or wind, which can become a nuisance after a while. The opposite situation can occur, too, where they don’t turn on when you need them to.

High-quality landscape lights that are hardwired and properly maintained can last for 10 to 25 years or more. You’ll usually get a longer lifespan from soffit lights and wall-mounted lights that aren’t directly exposed to the elements or prone to damage from foot traffic or vehicle traffic. Solar-powered and battery-powered lights often won’t last as long, but you can still expect a lifespan of five to 15 years.

One possibility is that they aren’t getting enough sunlight during the day, which could be due to a lack of sunshine in your area or trees blocking the solar panel. Alternatively, if the solar panel is dirty or the batteries are dying, your solar lights might not operate at full brightness.

Your maintenance needs revolve around the type of foundation you choose, as well as how you furnish or decorate it. Patios require little else other than the occasional hose-down, but decks and other wooden structures will require annual power washing and sealing. You may also need to restain the wood every two to three years.

Adding a solid roof rather than building a pergola or leaving the space open will make maintenance much easier. Without a roof, you will need to spend more time sweeping, washing, and covering your furniture to protect it from UV bleaching.
