"I highly recommend this company! Very professional, honest, and hardworking crew. Everything was clean and well organized, and the job was done right the first time. My shower turned out beautiful?I couldn?t have asked for more. He even offered great ideas on design, color, and tile choices that really elevated the final look. Very easy to work with and a great overall experience. (My whole bathroom was redone by this company went from an ugly tub to this.)"

"We had a small job but I was very pleased with the service outcome as I had an overall pleasant experience from initial contact to completion of the install. Solid Stone Fabricators rep contacted me in a timely fashion reqarding my emailed inquiry via Angie's List where I included a picture of cabinet needing counter and provided measurements and they were able to give me an estimate via phone and email based on the info I provided which I appreciated instead of wasting my time to come out first.
Gerardo who was my contact person was very easy to work with and very responsive to follow-up questions before the install. There was an error that was made by the guys during the install but Gerardo ensured that it was rectified and in a timely fashion as well, pain free which was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this company to friends and family and will use them in the future.

"The owner of the company was promptly on time confident of his services well dressed and smelled nice. He worked the entire 3 hours he was here. He did an excellent job and though I was not scheduled for tile cleaning he was able to fit in that service. It has been about 3 weeks since he has been here and so far the stains that had been repeat offenders have not returned. The carpet still smells nice and my tile looks great. Though I have never been loyal to one carpet cleaning service I'm thinking seriously of a long term relationship with Metro. Well done.

"Excellent. They use a process that dries very quickly that leaves the carpets a little damp, but not wet like steam cleaning. They had to go over the worst of the pet stained areas multiple times, so those areas took a little longer to dry, however, the pet stains are gone. I used the company before and they were good enough that I remembered the owner's name and easily found he on Angie's list again. I highly recommend this company and will use them again. The area he cleaned was approximately 2000 sq feet."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Yes, it’s possible to cut tile without a wet saw; instead, you can use an angle grinder, a glass cutter, a snap cutter, tile nippers, or a rotary tool with a tile-cutting blade. A manual tile cutter or snap cutter works well for the larger tiles that wet saws are typically used for, while smaller projects might just require nippers or a glass cutting wheel. If you’re working with large quantities of tile, however, power tools are best.

Tile countertops can be an excellent and budget-friendly option for a kitchen, provided they are installed correctly. It's important to choose tiles, such as ceramic, that are heat-, water-, and scratch-resistant. When the grout is properly sealed, it will resist stains, making the surface easy to clean. Tile is also considered a sustainable material. For a cohesive kitchen design and added protection, you can pair a tile countertop with a matching tile backsplash.

The process takes two to four days, depending on the size of the area and your experience level. The first day involves assessing and prepping the existing tile, while the second day is for laying the new tile. This may take longer in complex areas. After letting the adhesive dry for 24 hours, grouting and sealing can be completed on day three. For larger projects or intricate tile patterns, expect the timeline to stretch a bit longer. Also, proper drying time between steps is essential for long-lasting results, which extends the project’s time.

Costs range from $5 to $15 per square foot for installation and $150 to $600 for repairs, depending on the material and complexity.

There are several tools that you will use together to install tiles. Four of the most basic tools needed in tile installation include a notched trowel for applying tile adhesive, a tile cutter or saw for cutting tiles to size, tile spacers for creating the appropriate amount of space between tiles, and a grout float for applying grout.
