- Whiting Construction CoBrian of Whiting Construction Co tore my front porch down and poured concrete for the bottom and enclosed it. It is like a sunroom in there. There are 9 long windows in there, they go from the ceiling to the floor. He was good. The guys came on time and they were polite. They did the job they were supposed to do and I didn't have any problems at all. I was comfortable to have him in my home - he is a local guy and I know quite a few people that have had him do work for them. He's got a pretty good reputation

It quickly became clear during the estimating process they were more interested in selling me on their financing plan. They used every slimy sales tactic in the book - “this price is only good until I leave”, “I cant give you an estimate until the office runs the numbers”, etc. They gave very little information on what exactly they were quoting me and the work to be done - I felt he was just trying to get as much money out of me as possible and would build whatever he could with that budget, rather than just ask me what we wanted. The final straw was when he refused to provide the estimate until air woke up my wife, who was sleeping with our newborn child in the nursery. He claimed he couldn’t show numbers to me without her present. I told him I didn’t appreciate his dishonest sales tactics and told him to leave
- #1 Rubbage RemovalHe was supposed to make the deck an octogon and made it rectangular. I purchased all the materials. When I asked for a written estimate he wouldn't provide me with one. He never finished the job. I paid for all the materials and he asked for the receipt and returned it to the store and purchased it back with contractor's license and pocketed the money. With the rubbage in the yard, halfway through the job he said he needed more money for the removal of a liner
