From our first meeting with John Gianangeli, things went very smoothly. John was very knowledgeable in roofing materials, styles, types of features, and most importantly what procedures our installation would entail. Then we could see a complete picture of the scope we were signing up for. You handled new plywood, water and ice protection, dimensional shingles, ridge vents, and removal of asbestos shingles. Also, we have to say that the crew we had, supervised by Abraham, did an excellent job! They were so professional and conscientious with their work and it showed in the results. Our neighbors gave us so many compliments on the new roof. People stopped us while we walked our dogs to comment on the new roof. I am remodeling a very old home and there are always unexpected surprises every time we open up a wall to do something else and they are always prepared to handle it. Chris is very conscientious about staying on budget and I can trust his crew inside my house. Jodie Machen was the perfectionist I was looking for. Not only did he do an immensely careful job, but he was thorough in his communication with me throughout, calling to touch base not just on formal aspects of the job, but also on convenience questions. His personal presence on the job made sure that his standards translated to his work crew, and together they presented a polite and professional group who I felt very happy to have around my little kids. I would unhesitatingly recommend this company! As an aside, Jodie Machen also fixed a difficult plumbing problem for us, so I suppose he would be great for other similar work as well!- William J K.

Gutter Done Construction, LLCThe first day we called him, he came over after work, looked at the home and gave us an estimate right then and there. I loved that there was no waiting for the estimate. We were not in a hurry and asked that he do the job sometime after the middle of August. The estimate was so good we did not look around for anyone else. We called when we were ready, and he had a couple jobs ahead of us. He ordered the material and started work on the 16th of Sept. His crew worked the whole next week except one day for rain. They finished on 9/26, and everything was done to our satisfaction. In the end, he took $100 off as he had estimated too much. We would definitely recommend Gutter Done to anyone who is looking for honest, good workers. The seamless gutters are amazing!- Rita C.

The salesperson David was very honest and had no interest in upselling. He strongly advised against any interior drains for my basement, and he instead recommended an exterior drain called HydroBlox for my backyard. The estimate for the HydroBlox was $3,400. The installation occurred a few weeks later. Three employees used a machine to dig a trench in my backyard, and then because of utility lines, they hand-dug another trench in my side yard. They installed the pieces of HydroBlox and covered them with dirt. I expect the HydroBlox to properly drain the water from my yard, but if they do not, then I will update my review in the future.

Before now, but the job Midwest Roof Renovations did in replacing our 27 year old roof has kept me awake at night. It kept me awake at night wanting to figure out how to broadcast to the world that every aspect of replacing our roof exceeding my wildest expectations by 1000%. Yes 1000 per cent. I was told by people who know construction that the cost would be 50% higher than it was. I was told that our property would be a mess with broken shingles. I was told we would find roof nails in our grass weeks later. I was told at the end of each work day the place would be a mess. I was told they would put all the shingles on the roof at the beginning and I should worry about the strength of our roof. I was told that of course I should not expect a perfect job as to shingle alignment and flashing around sky lights. I was prepared for all of those things especially since Midwest Roof Renovations bid on the job was the lowest of four companies that bid on our roof. Well you can go down the above list of problems I might expect and find how absolutely PERFECT every aspect was. And I have not mentioned how courteous all the workers were both men and women. They worked long hours and when they left other than seeing the progress on the roof you would not have known they were there that day. We never found a single roof nail in our grass or on our property. We never found a shingle fragment on our property. The roof was perfect. I must admit I told my wife I thought we could go a few more years with our original roof. I had no idea that the new roof would be a thing of beauty I keep staring at. From the very beginning to when they pulled out of our driveway, it was such an easy process. We got multiple quotes, but Zack’s pitch was the most informative. He was honest about what we needed done and didn’t try to upsell us on anything. Our original date was postponed because of weather, but rescheduled just two days later. Our project manager, Adam, kept us up to date on the progress, sent us drone photos, and walked around the house with us to explain everything. By far the best price for what you get out of all the quotes we got. Overall great company. Would definitely use them again.

They didn't do what they supposed to do. They supposed to keep the same size for railings and step but they didn't. It's too narrow and is not safe! one step leading from the home to the deck is completely unsafe, and the step off the deck to the grass are not long enough and they look cheap and stupid. The gap between the step is not proportionate. On the side of the board there are staple that should not be there. If they are have reputable company, they will send somebody back to fix the deck ! My son got injured because of them . They also left without notifying us . My husband asked for a receipt but they refuse

From the moment we put out feelers to the Metal Roofing Alliance, Distinctive was in contact - yet there was absolutely no pressure. We took time to research metal types/styles before asking for an appointment to get a quote. Bruce became a fountain of information, fully answering all questions and discussing options in roofing styles as well as how to overcome ventilation issues in our attic. We found Bruce to be one of the most helpful and professional contractors with whom we have ever dealt. Distinctive quoted the lowest price for a quality metal roof with hidden fasteners (we did not want exposed fasteners as commonly used on other homes around us). Even at that stage when all we had to do was sign the contract, there was absolutely no pressure to do so. We ultimately decided not to install a metal roof, but it was certainly not a strike against this contractor. Due to an extensive amount of upcoming concrete work, the cost difference between reinstalling asphalt shingles vs. installing a metal roof was simply too great. If not for the cost of having a concrete driveway installed in the same year, we would have proceeded with Distinctive - we were sad that we had to forego a metal roof.
