"I was not happy with the clean-up of the job either. We sweep the floor every day after tearing out of the kitchen floor . After completion of the job, went to go to basement and there was all kinds of dirt dust and small pieces of wood and ceramic tile that was not cleaned up."

"They showed up on time and completed the tiling same day. They did not leave me with a mess to clean up when they were through. I was concerned about the removal of the toilets, but they were pros. There were no water leaks. The toilets were working beautifully when placed back, and the seals were perfect."

"Leo did a nice job! Very receptive to our concerns and desires. Took time to replace and modify tile placements to our wants without hesitation and pushback. The bathroom shower walls, shower box and bathroom floor look fabulous! Would definitely hire Leo again and highly recommended for his excellent tile setting abilities!"

"He created a beautiful bathroom that included demo of garden tub and filling the space with a built in tub and shower. He replumbed the shower to include multiple shower heads for a spa like setting. In addition, he designed and constructed a custom walk-in closet with shoe cubbies, hanging space and shelving for sweaters. I have received so many compliments on these spaces."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Regardless of the material, basic square tiles will never go out of style. Neutral colors like white, grey, beige, and black will always be in demand in residential and commercial settings. Certain designs, like herringbone and hexagonal patterns, are considered timeless. Porcelain and porcelain-like tiles will also never go out of style.

Add a T-shaped spacer to each corner of a tile when placing it. You’ll want to nudge the tiles closer together so the spacers are touching each corner. When you’re done installing your tile, you can remove each spacer, wash them, and use them for your next project.

Yes, you can tile over existing shower tiles, but it's better to remove the old tiles first for the best results. Tiling over existing tiles requires a clean, level surface and proper adhesion. If the old tiles are in good condition, you can roughen the surface to improve adhesion. However, removing the old tiles ensures a smoother, longer-lasting finish and prevents potential issues down the line.

A quality shower tiling project is a bathroom upgrade that can increase resale value. Bathroom remodels have the highest return on investments for any home update. Tiling a shower won’t offer the potential 70% ROI that a full bathroom remodel involving upgrading fixtures, installing storage, and a complete room retile will. However, you can expect an average return of 55% to 60% for this refresh.

The number of shower niches you need (or want) depends on the size of the shower and how many bathroom products you plan on storing. If you keep it simple with just soap and shampoo, the one shower niche will probably do the trick. But if you’re adding scrubs and soaks, you may need to think about installing two or more.
