"An eight foot section of PVC fence was taken down buy a very large branch. He was able to repair it to like new condition. I sent him many pictures with dimensions and he was able to put it back together without having to replace it with a new panel. The fence I had was a discontinued style. He saved me money and didn't have to replace it with something that would not match. I'd recommend him to anyone.

"The job went really well. No one wants to spend a lot of money on a chimney. But it's something that has to be done. I was confident that Chris and his crew would do a wonderful job and be fair and stand by their work. I'm so glad that we hired him to take care of our chimney. If we decide to do any additional home repairs in the future,we will definitely call TCB. They were working every day as promised for 3 days to complete the repair. They also cleaned up after so you couldn't even tell someone had been working there. We are really happy with their work!"

I make sure it gets done like as if it were mine...

Dock Building and Repair questions, answered by experts

If you don’t want to rely on an anchor on land, you can also build dock posts. You’ll need to rent a water jet to blow out sand and silt from the lake floor in order to place the posts; it’s a complicated task that is best left to a professional.

The length your dock can be will differ greatly depending on your location. Some localities will have rules; for example, some areas won't allow you to build a dock that is more than one-fourth of the width of a body of water. Other areas won't have any rules on length at all.

In most areas, dock builders need some type of license. In some states, only a general construction license might be necessary, while a marine construction license is required in others. You can check online to see which is mandatory in your area, and then you can use Angi’s contractor licensing tool to make sure the company holds the proper license. Since dock construction is inherently dangerous, confirm with your builder that they are fully insured for everyone’s protection.

The cost to build a new dock can range widely, typically from $5,000 to $65,000, with an average cost around $15,500. The final price depends on several key factors, including the dock's size, the materials used, the complexity of the installation, the depth of the water, the type of dock being built, and whether it is in fresh or salt water.

Common choices include pressure-treated wood, composite decking, and aluminum for durability and low maintenance.
