"They made my ugly duckling yard into a beautiful swan. They worked hard getting out rocks and dead plants. They came up with a beautiful arrangement of perennials. They did everything with excellence. They put concrete under the border wall. They broke up an old concrete patio and repoured it correctly with good stones and rebar. It all looks so beautiful and was done with integrity. They were very polite."

"We got a 350 paver patio, firepit and seat wall in our back yard. We also had Chris and team fill in an empty area with weed barrier and creek jack (stone). We signed in July, and was told the calendar had us pointing to an October installation. With a very rainy fall, Chris's team kept getting delayed, but Chris did a great job communicating and discussing status with us. Winter arrived, and we didn't get installed until March, but again, Chris kept us in the loop, and I can't really blame him for the weather. Chris has a large backlog of work because of the quality, care, and craftsmanship of his work. He went above and beyond (adjusted some gutters for us, as well as added a pad of concrete at the bottom of our deck stairs to ensure we were setup correctly). If you want a paver patio, walkway, retaining walls, etc.. done right the first time, call Yanton's, they will do it right. We couldn't be more pleased with the patio."

"From start to finish on our patio project, Shay and his crew were excellent to work with. Very professional, excellent craftsmanship and detail to the completion. They are masters of their craft. The one attribute that I personally found refreshing was Shayâ s level of communication with my wife and I. Always explaining everything, asking our opinion on his ideas, calling each day before and after to follow up with any questions and letting us know when he would be there and exactly what was happening that day. Canâ t say enough good thing about that. All in all if we need any concrete work in the future, Nova Concrete and Shay are our â go toâ company. Thanks for all you and your crew did. "We used Russell Laine Construction to have a damaged bridge removed and rebuilt over a flowing stream. Ed Becker, owner, project manager and worker, was there for us throughout the project. We cannot say enough about their commitment to quality and service. Once the project was begun it became obvious that they were interested in doing the best job possible. They handled needed changes as the project progressed with confidence and good sense, while keeping us posted. We were impressed with their attention to detail and are delighted with the end result. The project was started in December and they had to contend with adverse weather conditions. In spite of this, the project was completed ahead of schedule and at a lower cost than competitors' bids. We were impressed that Ed was always looking out for us and doing the best for us. We give our highest recommendation to Ed and his team. We would hire Russell Laine Construction again without hesitation. Larry and Kathy LeFevre"

"Rob has done a great job renovating my kitchen and bathroom at my condo. When problems were found with the concrete slab foundation, Rob leveled the slab so that new flooring could be installed. He also reconfigured the landing and stairs at the front entry, making the area more functional and appealing. Rob is an honest businessman and he thoroughly explains each phase of a project. Rob does excellent work and I highly recommend him and Be Blessed Remodeling."

"Complete kitchen remodel including taking the entire roof off kitchen section, house is 100 years old. A complicated job that was preformed perfectly. Every detail of the job was well-thought out and we were guided through the whole process for what to expect for each stage of the project. Flooring was also replaced on the entire first floor, several sections of the house besides the Kitchen were rewired and the entire roof was replaced including replacement of a crumbling chimney. Our house is like brand new and we could not be happier, Kodiak is the only contractor I would ever use, Highest rating possible!"

Patios questions, answered by experts

A sunroom is worth installing on a deck, both for the value and your own enjoyment. A Florida room addition costs between $10,000 and $140,000, so it’s pretty expensive. However, a quality sunroom can offer a 50% return on investment, making your home more sellable. Plus, if it’s a space you and your family enjoy relaxing in daily for years to come, it’s worth the money, time, and effort, even without the added monetary value.

If you want to hire a professional to build a screened-in porch, a local sunroom or porch contractor is your best bet. If you can't find a local sunroom builder, another option is to consider hiring a general contractor to perform the work.

If you're handy, you may consider building the porch yourself. Before you do so, make sure you understand the local permit requirements and building codes so that you don't have any problems with the safety or structure of the porch.

An Arizona room may or may not count toward your home’s square footage, depending on local regulations and the specifics of the room, but generally does not get included in the total square footage. In many locations, a room needs to be built to the same quality as the rest of the home, have an integrated heating/cooling system, and be habitable year-round to count toward square footage.

In most parts of the U.S., adding a screened-in porch requires a building permit. Since this type of project often involves structural work and changes to your home’s footprint, homeowners should adhere to local guidelines. That said, permit rules can vary widely depending on where you live and how extensive the project is. Before you start sketching out plans or ordering materials, check in with your city or county’s building department to avoid headaches, fines, and potential structural issues down the line.

Yes, but ensuring the deck has a solid foundation with adequate footings is critical before building, as the weight of a sunroom will put significant pressure on the structure below. Even if your deck is properly constructed, it may not be able to handle the extra weight. While some basic, lightweight, prefabricated sunrooms can sit on a deck with a strong existing foundation without additional supports, in many cases, the foundation and joists will need reinforcement. It is always best to have a structural engineer perform an inspection to evaluate the deck's quality and structural integrity. A professional can help you decide if reinforcement is sufficient or if it's better to tear down the deck and start over.
