"Although the owner seemed pretty nice on the phone, I was not happy with the process. I asked for a quote and was told someone would come out and look at the job and call me back. However, when I arrived home, they had already started the job without my approval. I felt bad for the workers because they had already begun working. I ended up authorizing them to continue the job. I needed some dirt and mulch removed from 2 areas. They did a great job on one of the areas, but the larger area still has dirt that could've been removed. It was an okay experience, and the workers were nice. I just prefer to receive a quote and actually hire a company before they just start working. Let me decide who I want to hire. Anyway, I do appreciate them coming out so quickly."

"We were in a pinch to clear out the garage from our bathroom remodel. They called that morning and were there 1h later. Fair pricing, respected my yard. Will hire for my kitchen haul!"

Hauling questions, answered by experts

Your contractor should handle dust control during the project. It's best to speak with your contractor beforehand to check if they plan to cover your furniture, protect your vents, or use fans to redirect dust. Eliminating drywall dust is a particularly large challenge during construction, so always take this into account during your planning phase.

Unsurprisingly, one of the busiest seasons for junk haulers is the springtime. The warmer weather makes spring the best time for junk removal for most people. If your junk removal schedule is flexible, though, booking for the winter might be the best option for you. You’ll see more availability and even a possible discount since the colder months are generally slower for junk haulers. If you are getting rid of unneeded junk during warmer months, call a junk removal specialist in advance to ensure they get you on the schedule.

A dump trailer consists of an open box bed with a short barrier that’s equipped with wheels and can be easily attached to a vehicle for transportation. This option is a favorite because it’s easy to navigate to and from destinations and is ideal for hauling small waste quantities. On the flip side, a dumpster may not have such features and will need to be loaded onto rather than attached to a vehicle to get it where you want to go. Check out the cost to rent a dump trailer or even the cost of junk removal when deciding between your options.

Wood is a very versatile material, so you can either compost it, use it for firewood, turn it into wood chips, or save it for future projects. If you don’t want excess wood cluttering your garage or workspace, you can call local community centers or schools to see if they have a need for it.

Products that are hazardous, such as aerosol sprays, top the list of what to leave behind during a move. Avoid packing perishables, garden and garage chemicals, pool supplies, compressed gases, and combustible items. If you are trying to move by yourself, you may want to downsize so you have fewer belongings to pack and move (and then unpack).
