"The experience couldn't have been simpler or better. They said we would be part of the Logan family and we certainly were taken care of like family. I am so happy we chose Logan and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone. They never attempt to upsell us, but quickly accommodated us when we decided to move up to a HE HVAC unit as opposed to just replacing the AC unit. Outstanding experience and performance by them from start to finish"

"I like everything about them. They are personable, the gentlemen who owns the company, Bob, is very polite and careful with anything around the windows they are washing. Anything they have to move to do their job, they make sure to put back. They take great care to clean up after themselves, and respect me and my property. To top everything off, the work they do is always great!

The rates they offer are very friendly and competitive."

"This company has experience in other home repairs such as electric and are certified. Very friendly and explained every aspect of how the new water heater was different than my 20 year old one. Dave was very prompt and I intend to hire him for additional projects as we get to them."

"The appointment was made quickly and efficiently for only a couple of days after I requested service, although I said I was in no rush. The technician was friendly and personable and clearly had been trained to provide me with information on all the available alternatives for improving the efficiency of my HVAC. That said, he was not pushy and accepted my initial "no thank you" graciously."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

To lower humidity quickly, run a dehumidifier or your home's air conditioner or turn on exhaust fans to extract moisture. These methods can quickly and effectively bring your home's humidity levels to a comfortable condition. However, you should consistently practice humidity-reducing tasks to maintain proper indoor humidity levels.

Signs of a damaged evaporator coil include warm air from vents, frequent starts and stops without proper cooling, failure to turn on, refrigerant leaks, and unusual noises. If you suspect issues with your AC system or its components, it’s best to call an AC repair technician for proper diagnosis and repairs.

Keeping your air filter clean is crucial for your heat pump's efficiency. As a general rule, you should check your air filter every 1 to 3 months. However, the actual frequency might vary depending on factors like the type of filter, indoor air quality, and the amount of dust and debris in your area. If you notice the filter is visibly dirty or clogged, it's a clear sign it needs attention sooner. Regular filter maintenance ensures proper airflow and helps your heat pump perform optimally, keeping your indoor air fresh and comfortable.

While it is possible to add Freon to your AC unit yourself, it is not recommended. In fact, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) prohibits the handling of Freon without a license. Freon is a dangerous gas that can cause irreversible damage to your AC or yourself if not installed correctly. It is worthwhile to hire a professional to add Freon to your AC.

Signs that your air conditioner capacitor is bad or failing include a range of symptoms. The AC unit may not turn on at all, or it might struggle to start before shutting down randomly or in the middle of a cooling cycle. You might hear a humming or banging noise when it attempts to start, or the compressor might hum without the unit actually running. Other indicators include a smell or smoke coming from the unit, the blower circulating room-temperature air instead of cold air, and an unexpected increase in your energy bills.
