Small jobs welcome

"I used END Asphalt and they did a great job on my driveway a few weeks ago. I recommended them to my neighbor and he was happy with their work. We live on a private drive owned by 7 homeowners, we used them to fix bad spots in the drive, fix a concrete culvert and seal the entire drive. All 7 homeowners were very happy with the job. All three jobs were well done, and the price on all three were very reasonable. Would recommend to anyone."

"My Contractor (Jovon) came promptly to access the work I had in mind. I received a Fair Quote and a Tentative Start Date the same day ! My old Driveway was Torn out, Hauled away, Framed, and Poured the same Day! Care was taken for my property, total cleanup after Tear Down, and Driveway sealed. I had continuous contact with Jovon thru the whole process!"

"Jeff and Corey accomplished all requests, despite the difficulty of old post removal despite heavy roots, rock retaining wall, poured concrete patio, and garage foundation. Both are very personable and easy to communicate with. Extremely pleased with the end result."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

The decision to repair or replace your driveway depends on the extent of the damage. If your driveway has a few small cracks, a simple repair will do the trick. If you see larger cracks and potholes, it may be time to consider resurfacing or replacement. Resurfacing is a great option if more than 25% of the surface is damaged, but if the damage is extensive—deep cracks or significant sinking—it’s best to replace the driveway entirely. A new driveway, with proper care, can last decades while patching or resurfacing might only hold up for a few years before needing more attention.

Recycled asphalt is not better than gravel, but can be a good alternative. It is inexpensive, but not as low-cost as gravel, and doesn’t tend to last as long. Recycled asphalt isn’t as dusty as gravel and is more environmentally friendly. The black look can be something that homeowners prefer. No matter what, ensure you choose an experienced recycled asphalt contractor.

Yes, with colored finishes and decorative stamping for a personalized touch.

Driveways should be sloped with a minimum 2% slope—anything lower will cause precipitation and runoff to collect. A 2% slope is the equivalent of a 2-foot rise over 100 feet. One quick way to check the integrity of your driveway’s slope: no more than four inches of water should collect on the surface longer than 15 minutes after rain.

If you’re looking for a similar, eco-friendly driveway material, you might consider one of these options:

  • Permeable pavement: This material is sometimes called “pervious” or “porous” pavement; it allows stormwater to drain into the subbase, eliminating storm drain costs.

  • Gravel: Consider paving your driveway with locally sourced gravel. By sourcing from a nearby source, your money won’t fund international shipping and will be invested back into your local community.

  • Natural stone pavers: Because natural stone pavers are made from organically-produced stone, there’s no new manufacturing required, limiting the environmental impact. In addition, water easily flows and drains through the gaps in the pavers.
