"Excellent, professional service... even called to come out early! Had everything needed and was finished in no time. Removed old tank and left no mess. Had a very tight, cluttered, dimly lit space to work in, and assured me it was OK. Honored Angie's list coupon without hesitation and subtracted from bill, as invoice prepared before I could tell him I had the coupon. Would highly recommend and will definitely call in future with any additional plumbing needs.

"Called the plumber and came out the next day to do the work inside the toilet and the trap. They discovered there is more to it. They worked on it for about 25 minutes in a very hot day. They recommend to me that a new toilet to be replace down the road. I was thankful to them for letting me know and to start planning the bathroom renovation/remodel. I have had them a couple of time before and the plumber was able to explain to me how to fix the faucet and the toilet tank (not comfortable for me). But at least I know how to do the simple one."

"Services: Unclog drain, Repair toilet, Repair pipe. // Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness // Haines was recommended to me saying they were good at their job. I called them Monday, Feb 15th about a clogged drain, they came out Tues Feb 16th at the time I was told they would be there, which was great! They were there from 3:30 pm to 6:50 pm. Some repairs had to be made to the laundry tub drain and my toilet had to be lifted so they could access that portion of the drain. After the toilet was replaced, the shut-off valve leaked, so I asked them to replace that also. The work that was done created quite a mess... BUT, when they were finished you would never know that. Everything was cleaned up so well and disinfected, it looked nice and smelled nice. The workmen were very professional and knowledgeable about their job. I will add this company to my contacts as a reliable source for repairs."

"I called Neatnics Home Repair Company on 9/28/15, to do some handy man work around my house. At that time I asked how much did they charge per hour.  The nice young man said that they charge $145 for the first hour and $90 per hour for each hour that their company are in the home.  I had two faucets installed, one faucet fixed, cleaned fan cover and a cabinet in my bathroom installed and I wanted a toilet in my upstairs bathroom installed.  Toilet could not be installed at that time, just the old one removed because the floor had to be repaired first.  They did haul all old materials away.  On 10/5/15, two guys showed up to my house.  They were the nicest most polite men.  Very professional, well dressed and just real nice to even talk to.  Both of the guys did an exceptional job with what I wanted them to do, and I do appreciate that.  One of the young men even went back to the store for me to exchange one of the faucets that did not have everything in the box.  You just cannot beat that kind of customer service.
My only complaint is that when I was initially told over the phone how much it was going to cost to do the job mentioned above, I did not know that I would be paying for each man that was in my house the same price per hour.  It was just the two of them, but I paid $717.75 for the job.  One guys hours was 4.75 and the other was 3.50.  I was charged for 8.25 full hours all together.  One arrived at 10:45 am and the other at 12 pm.  Both left at 3:30pm.  10% was taken from the total charge.
One reason I am sending this note is because my husband is still having a problem with the amount charged.  He thought that it was not fair to quote a price on the phone, then the amount is different when it is time to pay. I did not know that each service tech would receive $90 per hour.  I had to pay them once I saw the receipt stating that both get paid per hour.
I just don't want this to happen to anyone else.  Please ask if the charge is for each service tech that enters your home.  If I would have known that it was for each service tech, I would have continued searching for other options.
Thank you for your time.
Have a good day!

"Chris was great and very communicative and friendly! He took care of all of my needs and is helping me with some other projects as well. We got the outlets changed out and he moved my toilet and reinstalled it with a new flange since the old one was rusted! Will keep doing business with him."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

Hiring an emergency plumber is expensive because of the urgency and inconvenience, but there are a few things you can do to help keep costs down:

  • Minimize water damage by shutting off your water main

  • Clean up pooling water immediately to reduce damage and mold growth

  • Avoid using fixtures if you have a clog or septic system backup

  • Verify that your plumber is licensed before hiring

  • Call a few plumbers for estimates if you can afford a short delay in getting service

Many homeowners stress about cleaning before an emergency plumber arrives, but you’re far better off doing the following while you wait for your plumber to get to your home:

  • Shut the water off at your water main if you have a leak or a burst pipe

  • Avoid using any water fixtures in your home, including appliances

  • Clear a path to the problem area so that it’s easily accessible

  • Consider shutting your breaker if you’re concerned that the leak may affect your electrical system

To test for toilet leaks, use water coloring in the water tank and see if the water slips into the bowl from the tank. This test will indicate if there’s a problem with the flapper or refill tube. You can also put water coloring in the bowl of the toilet to see if there is a leak there. If there is, you should see the colored water on the outside of the toilet bowl or on the floor.

While technically possible, it is unlikely that a clogged toilet will fix itself. Clogs caused by water-soluble materials like toilet paper or human waste may eventually break down in the water, allowing flow to resume. However, this can take time, and any clogs from solid objects require manual removal. In most scenarios, especially if you don't have another bathroom, it is best to fix the clog yourself or call a plumber.

While you might think that phantom flushes are simply eerie, they are bad for your toilet (and wallet). These flushes indicate a leak somewhere in the toilet system that needs repairing. These leaks can cause damage to your walls, flooring, and even your plumbing system. While one random flush every now and then might not seem like a big deal, leaving it unattended can lead to bigger problems.
