"We loved our house but hated the front steps/porch and the back steps/raised patio, so we hired Hillside to design and build a fully enclosed patio/sunroom and decking to go around our hot tub and swim spa, as well as a new front porch, steps, and accessibility ramp. Donald has incredible energy and passion, and a really great eye for designing outdoor spaces that look great and work really well. He and his team worked on the project for about two months, and he constantly checked in on design questions, and made a lot of great recommendations for aspects we had not considered. We love the result! We have a great, weather-protected outdoor space that blends perfectly with the house, a raised deck that lets us walk from the house out to the swim spa, and steps to a lower deck that wraps around our hot tub. We also have a lovely front porch with robust handrails and a ramp (since this is our retirement home). Our neighbors have made a point to compliment the work!"

"Zach mis measured a foundation on step #1, made the wood structure fit in the cheapest and laziest way. Concrete pillars were supposed to be hidden under the shed (I also supplied a drawing from another contractor to go by) and they now extend past so I am not able to just easily landscape around them as well as some of the brackets literally hanging off of the pillars. A couple of the concrete screws did not draw down all the way, a normal person would find out why and fix but nope they left it this way, pictures in the link!! The foundation was not square and it is to wide as well due to this mistake. I also had to shim multiple areas due to the foundation not being level. He promised to come back and help with some landscaping and some sort of flashing on the back to help hide the mistakes and most importantly keep water off the wood, I even had him give me a paid receipt saying he will return to help and then disappeared. I have linked pictures and a video of the terrible workmanship. Would not recommend. A follow up and help with some of the landscaping would have been very appreciated. { Removed google link}"

"STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!!!! They are a bunch of ex-exAmish that learned to be shady contractors. I had a concrete job I needed poured. This project was formed, prepped and ready to pour for them. Grade steaks were set every 8 feet. Also had a Concrete pump truck with an operator. Showed up late with no tools. Luckily I had ran to the rental place down the street and rented concrete rakes, bull float with handles and finishing tools. Three out of the five had guys concrete boots. The guy that was running the bull float had no idea what he was doing. He kept getting it stuck and dragging it out with deep holes. He would have to walk back through floated concrete and refloat it. Once completed thay wanted additional money, due to the trucks were back to back because they were late and didn't have a break in between trucks. Maybe show up on time!!"
