At Caputo's Heating & Cooling we specialize in everything H(heating) V(ventilation) AC(air conditioning). We are confident enough in the work that we do to offer a 2 year labor warranty on all work performed. Whether its service, repair, installation, or routine maintenance we look forward to helping any way we can. As a small local outfit with 2 licensed contractors (18 years HVAC experience between us) performing on each job we can offer great work at an honest price. We offer financing options in order to provide long term solutions on new installations which are more costly than repairs. Locally owned and operated throughout central ohio we offer a product by the name of AirEase (Lennox Brand) which was founded in Columbus Ohio almost a century ago. Our pledge to our clientele is to offer an HVAC service of such a high standard, they remain clients for life.

"They went well. Just did yearly AC/furnace check ups."

Fairfield Heating & Cooling was established in 1994 to provide economical comfort solutions to residential and commercial customers. In 1997, McGrew Inc., a local fifty- year-old heating & air conditioning company was purchased and its operations were combined with Fairfield Heating's operations. The combination of these two businesses now provides Fairfield and surrounding counties with one of the largest full service heating and air conditioning companies in the area. Since the inception of the business in 1994 there has been a focused approach to the core business of providing heating, air conditioning, and indoor air quality solutions for residential and commercial structures. By maintaining this focus we have been able to consistently provide modern and innovative approaches to our customers' needs.

"Took two service calls to find leak in condenser coil. Had to pay for service call, labor and new refrigerant even though the unit was under warranty. Only condenser coil was covered under warranty had to pay for parts and labor. Installation was estimated to take 3-4 hours . Actual installation time was 1.5 hours but I was still charged for 4 hours. I was reimbursed for the leaked refrigerant but not for the overcharge for labor. The unit is so far working well."

Heating Oil questions, answered by experts

Most HVAC companies charge a flat service call fee of between $75 and $150, which includes traveling to your home and inspecting your system to find the underlying problem. Keep in mind that these prices only include diagnostics and the actual repairs will usually be billed separately. If you’re calling for routine service, the service call will be included in your inspection and tune-up, with the total sitting around $150. Your prices could be a little higher if you have a very large home with multiple condensers and air handlers, as inspections and servicing take longer.

There are several common types of HVAC systems that you may have, including split systems, hybrid HVAC, duct-free systems, packaged heating and air, geothermal heating, or even portable units for heating or cooling. If you aren’t sure which type is in your home or are looking to install something different, you should consult an HVAC pro to determine which option is right for your heating and cooling needs.

Costs depend on system age, type, labor, and whether part replacements are necessary.

If a geothermal heat pump is installed correctly, then you shouldn’t have to worry about having a backup heat source such as a furnace or oil boiler. However, there are geothermal systems installed that include a backup in case the heat pump fails due to extreme cold. This is simply a backup heat pump you’ll likely never need and not an alternative heat source.

Geothermal systems provide energy efficiency, lower utility bills, and long-term sustainability with minimal environmental impact.
