I was having mold issues from condensation coming through the drywall from duct work. He came up with a solution to fix the issue and hopefully prevent it from happening again. He went above and beyond with the prepping so I never had to clean up a mess from him like I did when the previous company tore the wall down to check where the mold was coming from. He did any amazing job painting everything and even went above and beyond by helping me install a new outlet cover to the ceiling where my garage door opener plug in. If you're installing stucco in a climate with extreme weather, synthetic stucco may be the only viable option, as it lasts longer, is less prone to cracking, and resists moisture better. Traditional stucco is a suitable option in hot climates where moisture and rainfall are less common, so it’s a good option for affordability both up front and over time in these areas.

You should aim to let stucco dry for at least 48 hours before it rains. While misting new stucco and keeping it moderately moist is important for strength and longevity, uncontrolled exposure to rain can lead to weak stucco that doesn’t bond properly. Rain can also affect the stucco finish and the color unevenly, leaving you with less appealing siding.

Installation typically takes 3-7 days, depending on the area size and drying time between layers.

Stucco repair can best be described as a patch. It involves identifying the problem and fixing that specific damage with additional stucco. If no mold infiltration or an underlying leak is causing the damage, repair is most likely all you need. 

Remediation, on the other hand, involves removing the existing siding, fixing the underlying cause of the damage, and then reapplying stucco siding for that wall. It’s a more permanent fix that takes longer to complete and, hence, comes with a steeper price tag than repair.
