"Basically it went very well. Mark and Martin showed up when they indicated, did a quick once-over of what I had to move and said it would be no trouble getting the items into the truck. They set to work quickly, worked rapidly, and wrapped up a couple of fragile items including a glass-fronted stereo rack and an antique desk. They moved the items quickly to Columbus, getting back slightly before me, and unloaded them quickly and put them upstairs in my house, not an easy task. They also moved from upstairs to basement a heavy treadmill machine, something I'd needed done for some time and greatly appreciated. All of the move and loading and unloading was done in 2 hours, which impressed me greatly. My only minor gripe was not with the movers but with Angie's List, which did not really inform me that there was an extra charge of $120 for the truck and movers to come out to the Heath area from Columbus. This is something that should be made clearer to future customers of a deal like this. Otherwise, I was extremely satisfied."

"We are very pleased. We interviewed a number of security companies and received proposals including DIY to the big national and regional companies. I was not satisfied with any of the companies until I learned of 1stSecurity. Their pricing was good, both for the monthly fee ($40) and for the cost of the equipment. The manager, Jeremy, was very open and straightforward. The installer was also excellent. We asked them to install system prior to a trip we were taking in a few days and they met this short timeframe. The installation took 1-2 hours. The equipment we purchased was fairly extensive as we have a fairly large house and we wanted comprehensive coverage. This included 2 glass break sensors, a motion detector, and numerous door and window switches as well as a fire detection monitor. I accidentally set off the alarm and received a call from the monitoring company in under 10 seconds. The control panel for the system is an easy to use touch screen device, similar to an iPad. The system is very capable so you can connect smart devices to it if so inclined. We have been very pleased with the product and service so far (about 2 months)."

"Advanced Restoration and Waterproofing replaced a section of our perimeter drain that had roots and dirt clogging it up. The job was a little challenging because of an excessive pea gravel field and the location of the area that needed to excavated. Matt and his assistant did a great job completing the work safely and meeting our satisfaction."

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

Once you’ve gotten any scuff marks, grime, and burn marks off your glass stovetop you can use vinegar to finalize the clean without leaving streaks. Just put some white vinegar in a spray bottle and spritz it onto the stovetop before wiping it in a consistent direction with a microfiber cloth.

Yes, you can resilver old mirrors without any issues, and in many cases, it’s is the only way to maintain and preserve old, antique mirrors. Resilvering involves stripping the old silver off of the mirror, replacing the silver, and adding a protective backing to the glass. The process costs around $15 per square foot of glass, making it a relatively inexpensive solution for making older mirrors functional again. You can buy a DIY resilvering kit, but we strongly recommend hiring a professional to avoid additional damage and mistakes.

Options include tempered, laminated, and tinted glass for various needs.

The height of a mirror behind a vanity depends on several factors, including the height of the vanity, the placement of the faucet (on the wall or countertop), and the height of the faucet. A good rule of thumb is to hang the mirror 5 to 10 inches above the vanity’s highest point. However, you may need to lower the mirror based on the vanity size and overhead lighting placement.

White vinegar, water, and baking soda create a natural cleaning solution that is highly effective against brown stains on the oven door. Mix one cup of baking soda, one-fourth cup of water, and one teaspoon of vinegar into a paste. Spread it evenly onto the oven glass and let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes. Then, scrape the mixture off with a plastic spatula. Wipe the glass with white vinegar to remove any remaining baking soda.
