The end product will be your Blue Prints, Floor Plans, Notes or drawings (non-technical nor artistic required) designed and converted digitally into 3D (Isometric) full color digital images. The most common causes of sunken pavers are poor base preparation and insufficient compaction. The problem could also be how your pavers were installed. Additionally, using bare soil instead of making a paver bed with compacted gravel and sand can cause sinking over time. To fix sunken pavers, consider recompacting the base and addressing any drainage or erosion issues in the area.

While water-related pressure caused by poor drainage is one common cause of paver cracking, other factors can include ground movement beneath pavers, heavy loads and wear and tear over the pavers, and climates with constant freeze-thaw cycles. In general, pavers should be resealed every three to five years to prevent cracking.

The best material to put between pavers is polymeric sand. This sand contains silica and quartz, making it more durable than coarse or regular sand. It hardens after installation, so your pavers stay in place. Best of all, polymeric sand prevents weed growth in the gaps between pavers. You’ll have less maintenance to deal with once spring rolls around.

Yes, you can use a Dremel to cut pavers, but you’ll need a masonry cut-off wheel and a Dremel that accepts a 3 1/2-inch cutting wheel. Slowly run the masonry cut-off wheel along your cut line, and then continue making shallow passes. Once the cut is about 1/8 inch deep, you can drive a chisel into the center of it to complete the cut.
