"My main sewer line was backed up. I called several other businesses which all quoted me in within the thousands. Luckily, when called Jimmy Jets they assured me that all I needed was a jetting job which would clear my lines. As a result, this would end up saving me thousands of dollars in the process. They were extremely professional, efficient, and ran their business with integrity. Not often do you see businesses go out of their way to save you money."

"The responsiveness and professionalism of Chris was second to none. He had to try multiple methods to solve our drain issue but was passionate about completing the job. The price was a bit high but I understand that you need to pay for quality work."

"Honest, efficient, reliable. What more is there to say? When you want it done right the first time, go with AAA Damage Control. From start to finish, my sewer line replacement took less than a week. The job was big, involving digging up over 30 feet of basement cement and install a new sewer line. The crew was fast, efficient, and well organized. They really worked great to coordinate the project and were all masters at their craft. I am so happy I went with them and avoided the run around. They got the job done, a week before Christmas at that. My family was able to enjoy the holiday without worry of backed up sewage. They also cleaned up everything and left no mess behind. Louis did an excellent job recementing and finishing the basement. Steve was very knowledge and we were glad he was able to explain the process. All around good company. Would definitely hire them again, although I hope I do not need to."

Sewer Cleaning questions, answered by experts

The average cost to snake your main sewer line is around $250 for a simple snake. Most sewer line specialists charge between $45 and $200 per hour for main sewer line snaking, so the time involved plays a major role. The price you’ll pay will depend on the severity of the clog, the item causing the backup, how long it takes to remove the item, and more. A more severe issue that requires unclogging a main sewer line will cost $3,100 on average.

There are several homemade solutions for clearing a clogged sink that don’t involve pouring harsh chemicals down your drain. Start by pouring hot (but not boiling) water down the drain. This can help dissolve and flush away grease and gunk. A splash of dish soap down the drain can also cut through fat and make it easier to clear the drain. For a more stubborn blockage, grab a plunger and give it a few firm pumps to dislodge the clog.

Costs range from $200 to $600, depending on the severity of the blockage and access difficulty.

Main sewer lines can clog for several reasons. For example, if you regularly dump oil or grease down your drain, it could eventually block your line. Sometimes, tree roots can penetrate and grow inside old sewer pipes, creating a major blockage. Flushing bulky items (like paper towels, diapers, or baby wipes) can also clog your plumbing system.

Knowing the signs can alert you to a clogged drain line. Clogs cause slow drainage or cause no drainage (if there’s a complete blockage). You may also notice foul odors, gurgling noises, water backing up in other appliances on the same line, or a poorly flushing toilet. If you experience any of these issues and think your line might be clogged, call a plumber.
