"Sentri Homes provided the most professional flooring service I’ve ever had. The LVP installation turned out absolutely beautiful, and I was amazed at how quickly everything was completed without sacrificing quality. The crew was fast, accurate, and extremely detail-oriented from start to finish. Everything was installed cleanly, precisely, and with real craftsmanship. The entire process was smooth, efficient, and far beyond what I expected. I would absolutely recommend Sentri Homes to anyone needing flooring installed."

"Gary and his partner, Forest, were very pleasant to work with. Gary is very professional and can do almost any project. I was building a kitchen in a former dining room in my 1915 house and needed to remove two windows to make room for the new cabinets. Gary and Forest removed the windows, boarded up the openings, replaced the cedar siding outside, and painted the new boards so that you couldn't tell windows had ever been there. Insulation and sheetrock were installed and taped. I did the painting to save money. They arrived when they said they would and Gary always called if there was a delay. They installed new wiring for the refrigerator, stove, microwave, two switches and 5 can lights, plus installed the cans. Adjusted the circuits in the electrical panel to accommodate the new wiring and installed under counter lighting. In January, 2014, Gary built a beautiful corner window bench with storage for me and installed it in the kitchen, replaced old knob and tube wiring in the upstairs, added an outlet in the bathroom, removed old toilet and vanity, installed new vanity and toilet, and installed light fixture. I consider Gary the very finest contractor I could have found. He listens to my suggestions, is very amenable to any changes, patiently answers my questions, and makes suggestions if he thinks something may not be feasible or cost effective. I already have a list of future projects waiting for Gary to handle. Anyone hiring him will be very pleased with the whole experience and his costs are very reasonable. "
"We had a wonderful experience working with Darrin/Xclsuive Home. Darrin was very knowledgeable about multiple aspects of home repair, and it was very convenient to work with a single company that could provide quality repair in several areas that we needed for our home: siding repair, roofing repair, repair to an external door, wooden deck repair, and concrete repair. Darrin responded quickly to our request for an estimate and finished our projects quickly. We would be happy to work with him again!"
"Brad was fantastic! I had previously had another contractor come in and estimate about 1000 in repairs. Brad indicated this was definitely not the case. He provided an estimate and then beat it by $100. He was knowledgeable, on time and friendly. Estimate was provided and he came back and finished everything in less than 3 hours. Great guy! Great service! And I will be using him again. "
"Loay Jabbar provided the information I needed quickly and clearly. I immediately signed up for full coverages for our two homes because of the discounts offered and because of the quality of service that Loay is saying and promising Choice Home Warranty provides to its customers. I have bad experiences with other home warranty companies so I am hoping I found the best company that would deliver the best service."
"Went great! we were able to rent the house we loved . Process was great and my questions were answered immediately. Cassie Ott provides great customer service and made the process easy ."
"We live in a 65 year old home that has plaster walls in need of major repair. We contacted Rich Farley & scheduled for him to come to our home to give us an estimate. He was there within two days & arrived at the time he said he would arrive. He said he could return with his crew within a few days to begin the repair work on the plaster. Again, they showed up promptly at the scheduled time, repaired the walls, & left no mess behind. We scheduled them to come back one week later (at our request) to texture the walls which they did. I cannot stress enough how pleased my husband & I were with their work. They were punctual, honest & fair with the price, friendly, & most importantly, Rich & his crew were meticulous with their work. We have recommended them to several friends & family members who have also utilized their services, were very pleased, & plan to use them again as well. We plan to have them back to repair & texture the walls in several other rooms of our home. "
"Ron, the owner gave us an estimate and called with a proposed date to complete the project. He did not ask for any deposit and said we could pay him when we were satisfied with the job. On the first day they removed the old patio using a bobcat with a hydraulic hammer. I told him that I didn't want the yard damaged so he said that he would bring the bobcat in the yard only one time and he kept his word. The bobcat didn't do any damage. They hauled the broken concrete through the garage utility door using a wheelbarrow.. The next day they formed the new patio and verified with my wife that they design was satisfactory. Due to the extreme heat they decided to pour the concrete the following morning to assure a quality result. The next day they poured the concrete using wheelbarrows. After the concrete partially dried they applied a powder and used stamp pads and formed the design in the concrete. Stamping concrete is a very messy job and the powder is very dusty. The following day they came back to clean and seal the stamped concrete. I was impressed with their knowledge of the business, their attention to detail (not damaging my yard) and their willingness to work in extreme heat. . They were also careful to clean the house, driveway and the area at the end of each day and upon completion of the job. "
Custom Home Builders questions, answered by experts
The term “cottage” is subjective, so there’s no rigid definition, but it generally refers to a small home with simple and purposeful architecture that embraces nature and focuses on charm over everything else. Cottages are typically 1 or 1 1/2-stories tall, usually with gabled roofs, and are built out of natural materials that help make the structure a part of the surrounding nature rather than something that stands out from it. A big part of what makes a cottage a cottage is the decor, which includes natural materials from the nearby area.
The average build timeline for a home is between six and 12 months, with timelines pushing toward the upper end of that range if you’re creating a custom design or need a lot of land preparation before getting started. Hiring a general contractor or a custom homebuilder will help speed up the process, as you’ll see fewer delays between different parts of the build process getting done.
Yes, such as using eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient designs for long-term savings.
Start by researching local contractors with experience in cottage construction. Ask for references, check licensing and insurance, and review completed projects. Compare multiple bids, making sure each includes the same scope of work. A good contractor will communicate clearly, provide a detailed contract, and ensure all work meets code and safety standards.
Modular homes can go up or down in value depending on a few factors. In areas where real estate is appreciating, the value of modular homes is likely to increase, and vice versa. Additionally, the value of modular homes depends partially on the area. In cities where every other home is stick-built, modular homes might be considered a functional obsolescence, in which case they could be less desirable and go down in value. In either case, though, modular homes can still be a good investment, especially since they provide housing at a lower upfront cost.
