"Our basment & garage interiors needed repainted and we had a very positive experience with Beth, husband (Jimmy), and adult son (Rudy). Their work is exceptional. Rudy meticulously taped off door hardware while he & Jimmy prepped all surfaces including doors, walls, and ceiling. The tedious prep was done to perfection; doors needed stripped of old paint, wall outlets removed, and walls scuffed for good paint adhesion. Their attention to detail is superb and there is no paint splatter, drops, or mess left behind. We've hired professional painters in the past - Beth, Jim, & Rudy were far superior. We also had no concerns leaving them in our home while we were away. These are good people; we only wish other painters were as professional as they are and we have no qualms recommending them to others. Thanks Beth (Jim & Rudy); you folks truly are THE BEST."

If you're hoping to save time by simply painting over your front door, we have bad news. This usually won’t give you the results that you want. You need to fully prep your door so that the paint adheres to the surface. If you don't sand and clean your door, you may find that you need to repaint your door sooner than you would if you had prepared the door properly in the first place.

You can paint over wallpaper if it’s smooth and in good shape. But if there are bumps or tears in the wallpaper, they’ll likely show through the paint. Properly sealed chalk paint furniture that isn’t regularly dinged by toys or steel boots can last 5 years or—often significantly—longer. However, if it isn’t sealed correctly or is subject to regular wear and tear, you can expect the coat to last 3 years or less.

If you caulk after painting, a few things can happen that you definitely don't want to happen. For one, caulk is messy and can make for an equally messy finish. Second, applying caulk after painting might not provide proper insulation because the paint is underneath the caulk and doesn’t add the same protection as caulk.
