"We bought a laundromat and had a serious problem with water on the floor, like flooding water. We had no idea how it was getting in. Brian Carroll was recommended by a friend and as soon as he took a look at the project, he knew how to fix it. We found out that there was a spring under our floor. Water was pouring out of it and coming up through the old concrete floor. Brian and his crew were able to fix this problem along with recommending several other things to do for long term maintenance, such as installing a sump pump. This was almost 2 years ago and we have had no problems with the floor at all. It is dry year round. We feel like the price was reasonable and no extra or hidden charges at all. I would never hire anyone else for any concrete projects we have."

"We had three companies out and two of them only wanted to sell me more than I needed and only seemed to care about the sale. Buckeye was only one with no high pressure and seemed to care and understand our situation. This is a rental property and didn't want to cause any problems for tennants. The guys working on basement were very prompt and did work quickly and very clean and neat. They even went a step beyond and did some extra work that they was needed and did not charge me anymore money. We are so happy we our decision and no we made the right choice.

Concrete Cutting questions, answered by experts

While a high-speed circular saw will cut through metal, and even cut through multiple sheets at once, the fast-spinning saw blades create a lot of heat. This heat can damage paint and other protective coatings, leading to serious problems like rust over time. The cost to paint a metal roof again to avoid this damage is typically an additional $0.50 to $1 per square foot.

Welding is the process of using extreme heat—and, sometimes, pressure—to attach two pieces of metal. In contrast, metal fabrication is a more involved process that can include welding, sheet metal work, bending, and other forms of metal manipulation. Metal fabrication is a large-scale project that may or may not involve welding, while welding is more often a step in larger fabrication projects.

This all depends on the tools you have on hand and whether you’re trying to cut a straight line or shapes.

The best tool to use for straight lines is either a circular saw or table saw. When cutting shapes, a jigsaw will be the easiest and most precise tool to use.

Sawing your hot tub into more manageable chunks so it can be lifted easily into a truck takes several hours. Generally, 2.5 hours for smaller hot tubs and around 4 hours for larger ones with the help of one to two people. If money isn't a concern and you want to skip the physical labor, you can hire a pro to get the job done.

Welders use a variety of methods in their trade. Different types of welding are better suited for different purposes and contexts. For example, stick welding is a versatile form suitable for most metals and alloys. The most common types of welding include:

  • Stick welding: $100–$1,000

  • Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding: $250 and up

  • Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding: $250 and up

  • Gas welding: $150 and up

  • Forge welding: $15–$25 per hour
