The granite looks great but would have liked the permanent seal applied that is offered at other companies.

Everyone we worked with at Landmark Stone was great and they did a beautiful job on the countertops! They matched the backsplash and one seam perfectly! They were able to have the granite delivered, fabricated, and installed in just over a week, which included a trip to the shop for the "template" so my husband and I could choose where we wanted the granite cut to fit our kitchen. I would highly recommend this company! One note, they told me they are moving away from residential to more commercial jobs.
The price was also very good. We chose a more expensive granite, letter "K" on an A-Z rating. A-C granite would have been much less per square foot.

Landmark responded quickly to my request to install the marble counter top in a short turn around time following templating, so that my contractor could finish on schedule.  They were so pleasant and professional to work with.  The repair that they made on a chip in the back splash is invisible to the eye.  Their craftsmanship was perfection.

We were impressed with the Landmark representative at the Great Big Home Show at the I-X Center.  We had looked at the big box home stores; one gave us a prices, but everything was an up-charge.  the other gave us a quote - on a scrap piece of paper.  We talked to Debbie Ternai at Landmark, and sent a rough layout of the kitchen.  We were presented with a ballpark figure that came out over the home store.  However, unlike the home store, the price included edging, a quality under mount sink, extra cuts (a bevel on the island corner) holes drilled, tear out, and haul away, up charges that pushed the home store's price $1500 above Landmark.  The price also included the desk we were not initially going to get; their price was much less than the home store. [Note: In the boilerplate in the contract we signed, it stated tear out and haul away were not included; Debbie had said they were and promised it would be done.  Nonetheless, we asked to have that included as a line item in the quote.  We felt we could take her at her word.  They did come through on Debbie's promise.] Landmark does not warehouse full slabs of granite.  Which work out fine.  We met with Debbie and she took us to Mont Granite in Solon - a massive warehouse of granite, hundreds of styles and multiple slabs of each.  We chose a few styles, and were able to take a couple of sizable (6"sq.) samples home.  At this point, a caveat: no two slabs of granite look the same, and no two styles cost the same.  The slabs at Mont are marked A-Z, signifying price range.  two of our choices were in a higher range, and Debbie warned that they will be a bit higher in price, a few hundred dollars.  We asked for, and received, a quote reflecting that difference; it came within a hundred dollars of the estimated delta. We also picked out a sink, an asymmetrical, under-mount stainless steel sink.  This, too was included in the price unlike the home store. We put down a deposit for the work.  Soon thereafter Dan came out and made a set of templates from wood, from which the countertops were cut.  We gave him the faucet we picked out, so he could make sure the holes he had to cut were sufficient. We returned on our own to Mont, and chose the exact slabs to use (two were needed).  The warehouse people worked with us, even moving slabs out of the way until we found the exact ones we wanted. On install day about two weeks later, Dan and his assistant (Dave?) arrived at the scheduled time.   The did what they said, installing the countertops, making the cuts for the wiring and outlets, and cleaning up after themselves.  It was a thorough and clean job.  All of the folks at Landmark were respectful, professional, and experienced.  We felt they were hiding nothing, they were without pressure tactics, and knew their stuff.  At no time was I not confident of their efforts or answers.

This was a very easy, stress free renovation. Landmark took care of everything. The installers even broke up the thick layer of ice on my driveway!! My granite counters are beautiful. Landmark also recommended a plumber who came on time and finished up nicely so that all was ready for use by day's end.

We had an excellent experience with Landmark. Debbie Ternai is the sales manager there and she is knowledgable and excellent in her field. She is a dynamic person with a good eye for design and makes the process of granite selection fun. We interviewed several other competitors, such as Stoneworks and Acme-Arsena, and they had very little individualized customer service compared to Landmark. Debbie went with us to countless granite warehouses with our cabinet door in hand to match colors and even contacted warehouses out of the area to get us the granite we wanted. She was a very good listener and knew very quickly what we were looking for and wanted to achieve in our house. Other granite houses say, "Go to Mont or UGM and tag a piece of stone and we'll get a price for you." Some didn't even follow through on calling us back with pricing. The fabrication and installation team at Landmark was excellent and definitely knew what they were doing. They had to carve out a hole for our cooktop on site and modify backsplashes in the field, with no mistakes. We had a very pleasant experience with every one of Landmark's staff members and would definitely recommend Landmark's services to others looking to replace countertops in their home.
