"I had an estimate done on some electric work, and James Pinson did an excellent job. He was very thorough, clear with his suggestions, and the pricing was very competitive. Based on James's visit and the estimate he provided, I chose Mr. Electric to complete the work."

"He completed some electrical repairs for me. I would recommend him. I've used them for years and they are outstanding. Reasonably priced, and there is nothing they can't handle when it comes to electrical."

"Not a tool was pulled. Not a piece of equipment was attempted to be sold. Terry listened to my issues and used common sense and a little tweaking of my current equipment and it appears my needs were met. I appreciated his personal time and effort. Because of that, when and if I need a bigger job to be done, he ll be my first call. Thanks Terry."

Small jobs welcome

"Great job! The electrician did exactly what I had asked. I had an overhead light roughed-in for a finished room. He made the smallest a fewest holes possible to run the wiring. This made patching very easy. I will happily use Columbus Breeze Electric again."

Customers say: Quality work

"Rich came to our rescue when an urgent electrical problem came up. He rearranged his schedule to get us in the next day. He was extremely knowledgeable in his trade and explained everything he would be doing. I felt he genuinely cared about me and my family and our safety. We have four small kids and are so thankful for Rich's compassion, expertise and professionalism. This is something you don't see with large corporations. Rich was also very fair on price, especially given the emergent nature of the project. Support small business and hire Rich! Highly recommend him!"

"I hired Power Bright Solutions Inc. to perform a major electrical panel upgrade, install a new whole-home generator, and perform extensive rewiring throughout the house. I couldn't be happier with the work and professional results. Forrest is experienced, incredibly knowledgeable, and does excellent work. My old panel was a definite safety concern, as we had two issues where an electrical fire burnt carpet, damaged my work computers, and other electrical devices. The work performed by Forrest gave us peace of mind knowing our home's electrical system is safe and more efficient. It is easy to tell he does commercial electric work for 50+ hours a week. After completing the initial work, I have used them for additional projects, and they never disappoint. I have even had them help me with hanging and finishing drywall. Again, the work was done professionally."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

You can determine whether you have a double-pole switch by examining its wiring. Unlike single-pole switches, which have two brass-colored terminals, double-pole switches feature four. These switches are typically only found near high-powered appliances such as electric furnaces or water heaters. If you’re unsure what type of switch you have, contact a local electrician to confirm.

Yes, you can put a GFCI outlet in almost any electrical outlet location. As long as the outlet is wired correctly back to a circuit breaker, you can likely replace the existing outlet with a GFCI outlet.

GFCI outlets should be clearly labeled with LINE and LOAD labels, with arrows leading to the proper terminals. The line terminals are typically at the top, and the load terminals are typically at the bottom.

Wire color codes vary depending on the region. For instance, the United Kingdom has updated its wiring codes to match Europe's color system. The United States wiring color code is different, as is Australia's. Because the color code system isn’t universal, it’s essential to hire an experienced electrician to perform any electrical work to ensure it is done correctly.

Yes, in a new home, ground wires are mandatory. Some older homes may not be grounded, but if you decide to renovate, you will need to have your electricity grounded at that time. Remember, grounding helps keep everyone in your home safe from sudden electrical surges. It’s best to hire an electrician to inspect and work with your home’s wiring.
