"We remodeled two bathrooks and had MadCity install a new bathtub, surround and sliding glass door in one bathrrom and install a new shower, surround and glass door in the other. The work was completed in two days and we love how they look and work. Any time we need something repaired, they are back so quickly to repair anything we need. There is a lifetime guarantee on the projects that goes with the house - if we sell the house, the guarantee goes to the new owners."

"Hired Hanson's to install new windows on my enclosed front porches. Work won't be complete until after the windows are made in about 6 to 12 weeks. Sales rep. Was very kind and very knowledgeable."

Small jobs welcome

Credit card accepted

I’m 36 year old, have been doing mainly industrial maintenance the past 6 years or so. Love fixing and putting together all kinds of different things. Not as experienced with home improvements but I have done my fair share, and am never afraid to take on a challenge. I can say that no matter what you throw at me, I will find a way to complete the job and make sure the customer is satisfied.

"I was at first a bit nervous, spending a lot of money on a big project, and this is one company that never came out to see the place until after it was sold. Also nervous because they were the lowest bidder (by a decent amount), and often you get what you pay for. Not in this case. They BEAT the timeline, cleaned up wonderfully, and everything is in place operating perfect. Next time I need windows, I don't need to call around."

"Basically it went very well. Mark and Martin showed up when they indicated, did a quick once-over of what I had to move and said it would be no trouble getting the items into the truck. They set to work quickly, worked rapidly, and wrapped up a couple of fragile items including a glass-fronted stereo rack and an antique desk. They moved the items quickly to Columbus, getting back slightly before me, and unloaded them quickly and put them upstairs in my house, not an easy task. They also moved from upstairs to basement a heavy treadmill machine, something I'd needed done for some time and greatly appreciated. All of the move and loading and unloading was done in 2 hours, which impressed me greatly. My only minor gripe was not with the movers but with Angie's List, which did not really inform me that there was an extra charge of $120 for the truck and movers to come out to the Heath area from Columbus. This is something that should be made clearer to future customers of a deal like this. Otherwise, I was extremely satisfied."

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

Distilled white vinegar removes stickers from glass by breaking down the adhesive with its acidic qualities. You can apply the vinegar to the area with a sponge or cleaning cloth. Let it sit for 10 to 20 minutes, and then scrape the area with a plastic scraper or the edge of a credit card.

Clean regularly with glass cleaner and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive materials to prevent scratches.

Storm door panels are typically made from tempered or laminated glass, and each type has its benefits. Tempered glass goes through a special heating and cooling process, increasing its strength and durability. It’s known for its safety features—when it breaks, it shatters into small, relatively harmless pieces rather than sharp shards. Laminated glass is made by sandwiching a layer of plastic between two layers of glass. This interlayer holds the glass pieces together even when shattered, preventing them from scattering.

The cost of adding glass to your kitchen cabinet doors depends on the number of cabinets, type of glass, and labor costs. Glass typically costs between $5 to $20 per sheet and you can expect to purchase complementary hardware materials for $2 to $50 each. If you’re hiring a cabinet professional to install glass in your cabinet doors, ask them for a specific estimate before hiring.

Recycled glass is a durable and sustainable countertop material that lends a unique look to any kitchen or bathroom. Whether or not it’s the right choice for your home hinges on your design preferences and budget. However, for many, it’s an excellent option to make your kitchen stand out if you don’t want to go with an option like quartz or quartzite.
