"on 8-20-2018 My Wife and I hired Denny Daniels to remodel "new tile" for a bathroom at a cost of $1,300.00. A job that we were told would take 3-4 days, the job took over 3 and a half week. The workmanship was very poor, cracking and uneven tile, cracking grout lines. Then to make it worse, the Daniel's company did not protect my property in any way while they were working, damage to adjacent floors, garden tub, and furniture. They worked without any type of protection, did not cover my Garden tub causing scratches, add glue and grout on furniture. Denny told us that if anything we were unhappy with, he would correct "free of charge" however, when we ask him to fix and warranty his work, he refused. We had to file a complaint with the BBB and even have arbitration. He was found at fault, yet still to pay any money or warranty his work in any way. Do your homework before hiring this company."

Doors questions, answered by experts

You should rekey your house every three years to minimize the chances of someone gaining access to your home. You can do it more than that, but it depends on the level of foot traffic and visitors you get. Businesses, for instance, routinely rekey their locks every six months to a year. If you experience a break-in or a house key has gone missing, rekey the locks immediately. The same goes if your lock becomes damaged.

You might assume that having two locks on one door will offer more protection than only one lock, but there may not be an advantage. While there’s nothing wrong with having two locks if you feel it’s best for your living situation, rest assured having one high-quality deadbolt installed correctly will offer a high level of protection.

Security doors are not limited to standard sizes, and you can customize them to fit your needs and entryway dimensions. That's one of the fantastic things about security doors—they can be tailored to match your home. Keep in mind that a custom-sized security door will likely cost more than a standard size.

You can’t gauge the lifetime of a fire door like you could, say, an engine. Fire doors should be checked at least once every six months to ensure there are no signs of degradation like leaks, holes, water damage, termite damage, or anything else that might compromise the functionality of the door’s fire resistance. Check your smoke detectors while you’re at it.

There are a few different reasons why shotgun houses have two separate front doors. Shotgun homes with two front doors are also called double shotgun homes, which can be two individual homes that share a wall. Other reasons include improved ventilation throughout the home and better access to other rooms.
