"The owner responded promptly. A professional contract was offered; services were rendered quickly and care was taken to encapsulate the area where plaster was broken since our home is 87 yrs old and likely contains lead paint. Company is certified to work on homes with lead paint according to the new lead laws. We hope to work with them again soon for other interior painting. We also received a quote to sand, sure up loose boards, and repaint front porch as well as power wash areas before painting, which we would like to do when our budget allows it. We loved working with them!"

Sandblasting refers to the process of cleaning a surface using compressed air and aggregate. Soda blasting is the gentlest type of this method, but it differs from sandblasting that uses mineral or other aggregate, since sodium bicarbonate breaks apart more easily than other forms of blast media and, therefore, cannot be reused.

There are two ways sandblasting could be dangerous: improper use of the equipment so that the stream touches your skin, and air particles created during the sandblasting process. While the first is easier to avoid and fairly obvious, the second has the potential to be more serious and is much more difficult to understand. Pressing too hard with a sander can damage decks, as most are softwoods.
