We asked him to use only reclaimed wood and the most environmentally sustainable materials. He researched the best environmentally sound ways to insulate our house (using stone wool and alternatives to Tyvek, which we did not want to use because it's from DuPont) and he made numerous trips farther upstate from our Mid-Hudson house to locate the perfect reclaimed wood at old barns that were being torn down and resold as reclaimed wood. He gut renovated our really skanky old house into a magnificent jewel of post and beam construction to the point that peoples' jaws drop when they walk in."

"I had my deck done two years ago but the original contractors that installed it did not install a staircase. Everything backyards came in and installed a wooden staircase with a lattice under the deck. They were very thorough and quick, the job was done within two days"

He installed a light fixture for us when it was not part of the original job ( for a very reasonable charge ). There were a couple of spots that could have been sanded better. But all in all he did a great job and would definitely hire him again."
