"I should have just done it myself. A lot of the problem was mine. I booked them, thinking I needed 5 locks done, but it turned out I only needed 1. They were very patient with my fluctuating understanding of my needs. The fee to come out is worth it if they're doing 5 locks, not if they're doing 1 lock. I think this is true for all locksmiths. The lock was replaced quickly; that part of the job was fine. I wasn't thrilled with the hard sell. Nothing against them, but, if you only have 1 to replace, go to Home Depot."

After inspecting existing parts he told me that the knob and deadbolt were of very good quality and recommended just changing the lock cylinders. He did just that and happily honoured an Angies list coupon (even though I was unable to print it). His honesty saved me well over $150.00 He took his time and was not in a rush, sort of how you might remember skilled craftsmen from the past.
