"Williams Paving was everything you’d want in pavers. Bill the owner came out at a convenient time for me, measured the driveway himself, and sent me a quote. We arranged a time for the paving and he kept an eye on the weather. Bill worked along side his crew and they were a hardworking and efficient group. It was really nice to see the way in which these folks worked together. They were very thorough. Everything was cleaned up afterwards and left in beautiful condition. I cannot praise them enough! You can also purchase a fire pit project kit, which will sometimes come with fire-safe pavers, to help you avoid the guessing game of buying pavers separately.

You can pour concrete over asphalt if it’s in good condition, thick, stable, and well-compacted. Concrete is more durable than asphalt and can extend the lifetime of your driveway without having to pay frequent asphalt driveway repair costs or replace it completely. 

But this is best reserved as a temporary solution based on budget restraints, as asphalt requires more frequent repairs and assessments than concrete. Once that concrete top is poured, it’ll be harder to accurately understand what’s happening beneath that layer, which could lead to more issues.
