"I was reluctant to hire a company I had never done business with but was glad I did. My refrigerator quit working on a Sunday. He came out the same day and didn't charge me extra for being a Sunday. He was very knowledgeable and knew what was wrong instantly. Ordered the part and he came out again to install it. Definitely will and have recommended them to others."

"Everything was done very well. There must of been 13 or 14 guys on the job. The first day they took off the old roof tiles and I had the original roof covered over with another roof, so they were tearing out two sets of tiles. When they arrived they placed 4x8 sheets of plywood all around my house to protect the windows and doors and laid plastic sheets on the ground to catch the falling tiles. They finished around noon. They returned after lunch but it was raining so they sat in their trucks just waiting. Finally, the rain slowed down and they replaced the roof on my 8x12 shed, in the drizzle. They left around 4pm as the rain would not quit. The next morning the whole crew returned around 8 am and finished the roof. At the same time two guys installed a window where an old air conditioner had been and another crew was building and installing two sets of stairs outside my two sets of atrium doors. They also replaced my two old skylights with new ones to ensure their guarantee. There were two men who constantly were picking up trash and nails in my yard. They were always pushing around a magnet on wheels to get any fallen nails. When the job was finished around 5pm, they took me around to inspect and answer any questions. They had loaded all their stuff into the trucks and were ready to roll but the foreman spotted a small piece of roofing paper that was stuck on my house above the living room window. He had a guy get out if the truck, get a ladder and remove it. I never met a finer group of workers, they were always courteous and patient. They were proud of their work and it showed. There was always someone on the job even at lunch time. The new window really improved my family room. The new stairs were heavier and sturdier than I could have imagined. At one point they had the entire crew sitting on the stairs to check it out. I have had the roof worked on before but always there was something that was not done right but now after nearly nine months there has not been any problem at all. I have never found any remains of the old roof in my yard to this day. The guy who did the quote, I believe his name is Dan Green was just the nicest guy, he was on the job from start to finish. There was a difficult tie in with the roof over the garage and family room where a cricket was installed. Dan spent almost the entire second day on just that. The whole crew worked really well together and were always assisting one another. I never saw anyone dogging it. When the job was completely finished the owner's wife dropped by a few days later with a basket of home made cookies as a thank you. A really nice touch. Dan also called me some time later to see if I had any concerns.

"The service providers worked hard to diagnose the cause of water leaking from our bathroom exhaust ceiling fan. They located the two causes replaced and rerouted the vent hoses up in the attic. Not an easy job because of the crawl space. They also repaired water damaged ceiling spots in two locations. I was so happy to find them because I had previously contacted 3 other "handymen" to do the job who said they could do it but never called me back. TNT Improvements saved the day."

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

Some disadvantages of a blower cooler—a type of cooling device sometimes known as a swamp cooler—are its increased energy demand and its higher noise level. Blowers require more energy to run because they push air out at a higher pressure. This also means a blower cooler can be louder than a fan. Blower coolers are also not recommended for humid areas because humidity limits their cooling potential.

There are many types of ceiling fans, from self-automated smart ceiling fans to outdoor ceiling fans that provide additional comfort to your patio. What you choose all comes down to function and personal taste.

Consider your ceiling height when selecting a ceiling fan. Rooms with ceilings under eight feet high will do well with low-profile ceiling fans, also known as flush-mount or hugger ceiling fans. If your home has cathedral ceilings or ceilings between 10 and 25 feet high, you’ll need a large ceiling fan with a heavy-duty motor to get adequate air circulation.

A ceiling fan can become unbalanced for several reasons. Common causes include an accumulation of dust and dirt on the blades, which adds uneven weight. Over time, hardware like screws and fasteners can loosen due to wear on the blade holders. Other potential issues are damaged or bent blades or blade arms, worn-down parts, or an incorrect initial installation.

A blower and a fan serve different functions, so whether a blower versus a fan is better depends on what you need. If you need to heat or warm your home, it’s important that the HVAC blower is in good working condition. If you want to prevent an AC unit from overheating, make sure to keep up-to-date on condenser fan maintenance.

Yes, you can run an attic fan with the AC on. In fact, you don’t have a choice with a passive attic fan. Plus, when an attic fan draws out hot air from the attic, it helps regulate the temperature of your whole home, so your AC doesn't have to work as hard.
