It could have been a big problem in older brownstone (or "can of worms," as electrician said) but he was able to rewire the outlet so that it's essentially new. He told us that running a new line (thus bypassing outlet) wouldn't have solved the problem, since the older wiring would still be carrying energy even if unused. He knew what he was doing. I wanted to install a washer dryer in my home and he was able to come to my house on a weekend and analyze how it would be installed. My main concern was the electric setup. I wanted to see if it was actually possible to install a washer dryer given the certain voltage it needs to work.
