He was a veteran of ww2 as my uncles were also vets so there was always a strong motivational factor to be proud of who we are and the kind of workmanship we produced. We are licensed in nassau and suffolk counties. My wife and I are on the board of a not for profit childrens school as the head of the maintinence division. The reasons not to install flooring underneath a bathtub outweigh the benefits. A properly installed bathtub will keep water from reaching the unprotected subfloor underneath. Installing a tub on top of finished flooring can lead to damage and scratches to the new floor. Also, a small leak from a tub drain may be more difficult to notice if finished flooring impedes water drips.

To ensure an even and unbending surface to lay tiles on, you’ll typically need to put a subfloor under a tile floor. Fiber cement backboards are the most common choice, but using plywood is also possible.
