"'m sorry, I didn't answer earlier; I did not see this email until last Thursday, although I was looking for it. When I first spoke to he told me he can only come tomorrow at 7:30 in the morning to see the job and to discuss what he will do and give me a contract. I was reluctant to have him come this early beacause my son and husband would not be available but i agreed because I figured he was just coming to look. He came early and looked only in one place instead of looking around the whole house and told me that he is sure that I have a raccoon problem because of the opening in the eaves. He told me he wants to cover the hole with chicken wire and a one-way door and the raccoons will leave through the exit. I tried disputing this idea, but before we drafted a contract he went to work patching up the hole. It probably took around 20 minutes and he claimed he was finished. I was all alone, early in the morning for me, when i couldn't think straight, so I just wanted to finish up with him. I said the job was guaranteed for a full year so I asked him hw much I owed him and I paid him $800 cash. And he gave me a receipt marked "raccoon" and charged me the full price for trapping a raccoon, which he never did. When my son, who lives with me appeared, he was furious. He said the problem stemmed from a different hole, and the hole that he patched up was originally a small hole which he may have enlarged to convince me that I have racoons. I undersood that ithe same treatment for racoons would also solve the sqirrel problem. My son called him and lost his temper while confronting him with accusations that he was scamming us. He got insulted and hug up on him. The next day I called him and told him there was another hole to tackle, so he agreed to come the next day. He did come, and I showed him where the hole is. He saw that it would be quite difficult to access it. In the meantime, my son came out and tried to talk to him. The conversation got rowdy, he got offended, and, in short, refused to deal with us and ran away. Nothing was accomplished and he refused to set up some traps, which he could have easily done inside my house because I have trap doors to the eaves. We have done it in the past and were successful. That took place last week, and since then, I am at my wits' end. We have several squirrels running around in the attic, and I cannot call a roofer until I get rid of them. "Where do I start? I hired Tri County to fix my house when a tree fell on it caused by a tornado. This was a complete second story rebuild. I met with them in june, and they said they could start 1st week in september. The project manager was a great salesman so we decided to go with them. Worst mistake! They didn't start until October. During renovation, Tri County didn't tarp my roof all the way to protect it from rainfall when they installed plywood on the new roof, and they flooded my entire 2nd and 1st floor. When I called and emailed, they said they tarped the whole roof while I was standing on my first floor getting rained on. They assured me they would take care of it, and They came by when we left and tarped the rest of the roof and then used my wife's clean dish towels to clean the mess. They promised to remove all water with dehumidifiers and a water meter and take care of it. The 1st floor flooring buckled a month after the job was finished. The paint was peeling on the trim and stairs risers because they didn't sand first. They cut the master bedroom closet poles too small, so they fell every time my wife took a hanger off, causing all the clothes to fall. Bedroom closet shelves were secured into just sheet rock and not wood studs, so when they were loaded with our belongings, they all came crashing down days later. They left our home unsecured and had to make a police report for stolen items from our home. They replaced a door handle set that went missing, but not my wife's miter saw that vanished from the garage. Every time a storm comes mild or severe, the "new siding" they installed blows off in the wind and dangles from the house from multiple places. When they brought in dumpsters the dug a hole so deep in the driveway cause they didn't put plywood down and when I brought it to their attention in an email the project manager told me he only "protects sound macadam". I went off and should have fired them at that point, but they assured me they would fix it. They fixed it poorly with a cold patch. Electricians left broken outlet plates. Overall, the job sloppy hurried and half baked. I was sold a timely renovation with Profesional tradesman with years of experience. What I got was mostly an overpaid scam. Things they did do well. Framing, change in roof pitch, and insulation were fantastic. Didn't make up for the rest of the lackluster performance. I wouldn't recommend them!"
