I started looking them up after the fact. That's when I realized their ratings were not as good. I would grade them an A for the medical part, but for the boarding part, maybe a B. I found the personnel to be very helpful. They were very good. They did take good care of her. The veterinary doctor was the one who performed the surgery on her, when she was spayed. I found the price to be a little on the high side. They did warn me, though, that if she was a mature cat that was one price. If she was still considered a youth, or young price, that'd be considered a lesser price. They had two prices. I thought the pricing was questionable. She healed very well. There were no infections. They took the sutures out the next week. They didn't charge for that. We just brought her back and they didn't charge on that. When we got done with all the pricing, it cost a bundle. This was a stray cat. It cost us over $800 after the shots, the rabies, the boarding, the spaying. They were very responsive. Very little, if any, waiting. I never met the doctor. I met one doctor, the initial vet that came in. I met her and we introduced the cat to her. She was very helpful in identifying or trying to come up with her age. I appreciate that. They did spend a good amount of time with her. They checked her out. They did a good job at that. That was the same day they give her the shots, the rabies shots, the leukemia shots. They gave her a good initial visit. It was good overall. Just a little pricey. They quoted two different prices. I had to sign two different documents before they would do the surgery. One was less. One was in the 500s or something and the other was over 600 and that depended on the age of the cat. In their terminology, if it was a mature cat or a youth, young cat. It had to do with if she had been in heat or something. I had to sign two documents. They went ahead and did the surgery. We were priced at the mature price. I found the first vet, the vet I met, to be very professional. I'd give her a high grade. I never met the surgeon, he's one of the owners, I never met him. I can't grade him. But judging by the work he did on the cat, the cat no problem at all. There was no sign of infection, she healed very well. She wasn't having any pain. She wasn't hurting. I could tell. You can tell when they're hurting, their would crying or something. I was checking her after the surgery. She did well. The surgery was well. When I took her back the following week, they also said she was healing well. You could see there was no infection, no redness, no puss, nothing coming from the incision, no pus or anything. And they told us to keep a look out for that and we didn't see any.
We use to have a dog and this was the only place we ever used. Cookie was treated very well. She came back after boarding kind of nervous. I don't know. Would we use them again now? No, because we have a cat and we want a place that just cares for cats.
They are punctual and keep within the appointment time. We were given immediate feedback with test results followed with immediate treatment. My dog had an ear infection. What was the icing on the cake - was the followup to see how my dog was doing. I definitely would recommend this service to any one who love their pet..
here and at other vets in the area, including PetSmart (actually
PetSmart was worse).
They are all far, far too quick to say, and quot;Here, let me just take the dog in the back and put him to sleep. It's
best for all concerned.and quot;
That's what they did here, when he lived on for another 3 weeks, NOT in pain, but fully enjoying his life, being
in the water, being loved by us, etc.
Finally, we did have to put him down, but even then, I wonder -- .
Had I to do it over again, I would do far more research on vets in the
area--there are at least two that get great reviews. But I found out too
late. I deeply wish we had brought him to one of them.
DO YOUR RESEARCH. Don't have regrets like mine.
