"The men from Priority arrived on time. They checked why our toilet was not draining properly and discovered that our cesspool was full, preventing the toilet from draining properly. The men had the cesspool pumped out quickly with no complications and were very professional in giving us our options of pumping out the cesspool or considering replacing it since it is very old and will need to be eventually. There was no pressure on which decision to make and we greatly appreciate their professional way.

Customers say: True professional

"Jim really saved my bacon! I needed a toilet and vanity removed and new ones installed, and he showed up when he said he would, did what I needed, and was just all around a pleasure to work with. Will definitely call him again for future plumbing needs."

"After our 3 year old bundle of joy decided it would be nice for Mommyâ  s wedding and engagement rings to take a swim in the toilet, we needed help and needed it fast! Victor was here first thing in the morning to get to work. He was professional and his level of concern to get them back was comforting. Even after it seemed they were too far down, Victor was determined to come up with a plan and I truly appreciated his determination. The rings were located and retrieved. We are eternally grateful!"

Toilets questions, answered by experts

Toilet seats have two mounting brackets on the back that accept mounting bolts. The bolts drop through the brackets, through two small holes on the top of your toilet, and then receive nuts to hold them in place on the bottom of the toilet. If you can’t see the bolt heads, you might need to pry up the mounting bracket cover, which is a plastic piece that hides and protects the bolts.

Tools include a wrench, plunger, and wax ring. Professionals use specialized tools for complex installations.

While any bathroom remodel has a positive return on investment, an en suite bathroom can significantly increase a home’s resale value. It makes a property more enticing to buyers with families, particularly those with young children. However, keep in mind that at least one of the bathrooms should have a tub.

Recaulk your toilet at least every five years. If you feel like your toilet is getting wobbly before that, it still might be time for a new caulking. Never directly place new caulk over existing caulk because that doesn’t produce lasting results. Also, caulking over existing moldy caulk does not kill out the mold by suffocating it, so if you have mold, be sure to get rid of it before recaulking.

Small bathroom renovation costs don’t have to break the bank. A $5,000 budget is realistic, provided you're not adding luxurious fittings or making complex layout changes. Changing the layout is the most costly aspect of renovating a bathroom. So if you keep the layout, do some of the job DIY (within your skillset), and use relatively affordable fixtures and accessories, you should be able to stay within your budget.
